I've purchased every workbook on prefixes, suffixes, roots, vocabulary, spelling, you name it, to help instruct my child at home, who struggles with all aspects of language learning. My son is in 4th grade. This 3rd grade book has been great for him. I've got the others for 4th and 5th grade levels, which I'll use with him next. I have yet to see any workbook which provides enough exercises to result in mastery, but this book provides a good combination of words/affixes to learn and exercises to practice. I've decided that I will have my son make up his own sentences using the words presented in this book, in an attempt to drive toward mastery. I felt this was a good enough book that it deserved at least one review.
