This soundtrack is the perfect followup to the movie. Both are great. I highly recommend listening to it before any race. Also "Munich Race" is the perfect track to sum up the life of the greatest runner of all time, Steve Prefontaine.

When i first bought this cd, i only got it because it had to do with steve prefontaine. After listening to it for the first time, i fell in love with it. Every runner should own this cd. Every song is great.

This soundtrack really sums up Steve Prefontaines whole attitude. It follows the cource of his life well with the struggles and the successes. I enjoy listening to the song "Munich Race" before races to get myself in the right mindset. The song tells the story of a 5000 meter race Pre ran while in Munich in the 1972 Olympics. The opening song,"Fortunate Son" shows Pre's maverick lifestyle and "Forever Young" at the end of the album tells of his tragic and unfortunate death as America's best distance runner.

Maaaaaaaaan, after buying this album my PR's improved by 45 seconds. Thanks Pre. I beat up Mr. Yost my coach when I listen to this soundtrack.

Before I listened to this CD I was runnin a 5:00 mile, I started listenin to it before every race I brought my time down to 4:59. It pumps me up so much

The sound track is extremely motivational after watching both Pre movies. Great for getting you pumped to RUN>

This soundtrack contains some hidden gems and is a rairity having been avaialble after all this time. (released 1997) . It accompanies an equally wonderful biographical Movie of the Late Great Steve Prefontaine and the music is of and reflects the age (late 1960's early 1970's). It is a mix for fans of the era, containing tracks by The Who, Creedecne, Clearwater Revival, Stephen Stills, The Band, and many more plus a musical score by Mason Daring...Enjoyable, but to me as a fan of the 1950's through 1970's era, a rarity. A Diamond In The Rough.

This album is definatly a must have. It's a way to take the feelings of the movie with you while you RUN, drive, etc.... The Munich Race song really gets your adrenaline pumping. All the songs are really good and mixed together nicely. This album is very inspirational for all, especially runners. Buy it!

Wow. Great Album, even better if you see the movie. Baba O'Reilly became a team anthem on our State Champion XC team this fall! Cd guaranteed to inspire any runner and entertain any classic rock fan. Other favorite track is Fortunate Son by CCR. Buy and Enjoy.

Let me tell u waht, this cd is the best cd to run to, i jog and it gets my kneticoxygeniticocros goin real fast, i brought my mile down 23 tenths of a secodn every time i listended. it was real good training music!!!! LONG LIVE PRE
