From the Back Cover

Things move quickly in the cocktail fast lane—but grind to a halt when pregnancy kicks in. Right? Wrong! Even when sporting a “baby bump,” modern moms can stay in the social swing of things with Preggatinistm, a one-of-a-kind collection of lip-smacking, liquorless libations designed by master mixologist Natalie Bovis-Nelsen, aka “The Liquid Muse.”
The recipes highlight fresh juices, herbs, and garnishes as well as ideas for Preggatini™ Parties—a modern spin on the humdrum baby shower. Organized by pregnancy stages and symptoms, this illustrated, pocket-sized, virtually intoxicating guide also includes “De-virginize for Dad” options, and even a few alcoholic concoctions with which to toast the grand arrival of your bundle of joy.

About the Author

Natalie Bovis-Nelsen is the spokesperson for Fre alcohol-removed wine and designs customized cocktails for various liquor companies and restaurants. She is also the creator and editor of TheLiquidMuse.com, which brings together her two key passions—the spirits she discovers while scouring the world for exciting cocktail trends, and the spirited written word. She lives in Los Angeles.

Hi LOVE this book! The drinks was wonderful tasting even if they are alcohol free. I only gave it 4 stars because sometimes the products recommended in the book are difficult to find in a grocery store.

I love this book!! As a professional bartender I found the drinks to be unique and innovative. As a dad-to-be, this is a great way to do something special for your lady when little things mean a lot! Best of all the drinks are DELICIOUS!

Illustrated with color photography sure to whet one's thirst, Preggatinis: Mixology for the Mom-to-Be is a most remarkable guide to mixing delicious non-alcoholic drinks, perfect not only for pregnant (or soon-to-be pregnant!) women, but also for anyone who prefers their cocktails without intoxicants. Preggatinis are not the same as syrupy, so-called "mocktails"; they are composed of freshly squeezed juices, fresh fruit or vegetables, herbs, and homemade syrups, and thus usually feature nutrition as well as great taste! Best of all, there are "de-virginize" options for these drinks, perfect for dads, nonpregnant friends, and anyone else interested in enjoying a preggatini with an extra kick. From "Berry Cherry Blossom" to "Hot Buttered Mum's Rum" and "Pomegranate Cooler", these drinks are sure to delight the palate of all tasters. Highly recommended, especially as a baby shower gift.

Love the colorful pages and the great photos. Not only did I get the details on how to make the drinks but also what it should look like (and the glass to use!) Fun writing, easy to follow and fresh ideas. I am going to make this an addition to my 'gifts to give' list...
The drinks were so good, I didn't even miss the alcohol!
a great book for healthier drinkers.. and mom's (&dad's) to be.

Preggatinis: Mixology for the Mom-to-Be is a delightful, fun, colorful book full of bright and cheerful photos of sexy non-alcoholic cocktails (with pre-preg and daddy recipes as well). As a newly pregnant woman, I found this book to be a refreshing collection of uplifting passages and yes-you-can easy and healthy recipes! With all the heavy reading to do about pregnancy and what you can't ingest, how wonderful to have a collection of delicious green-light cocktails! They are all the author's original creations, with fun names like Folic Fizz and Gingerly Gestating. Ms. Bovis-Nelsen has brought her snappy chic LiquidMuse.com writing style to her first book, and I highly recommend it for yourself, as a baby shower gift, or for anyone who would like to drink healthy beautiful drinks without guilt.

Got this for my best friend and she loved it! She lives in Florida and found a lot of the cocktails a refreshing alternative to just water in the Florida heat. For a big girls get together, we made big pitchers of the cocktails from the book, then for us non-preggers, we just added a little liquor to our glasses. Amazing!

My wife thought this was funny when she opened it on Christmas and she is really looking forward to using a lot of the recipes. She said she's already tried some and liked them when she was out but she didn't know all of the ingredients or percentages so now she's good to go.

Love this book. It has so many ideas for the drinker and non-drinker. Great explanations and alternatives to make the alcoholic or not. I used a NA cocktail from this book for a shower I hosted. They loved it.
