This review is from: Preggie Pop Drops (21 Pieces) - Assortment of Sour Flavors (Health and Beauty)
Several people wrote reviews wondering if Preggie Pops were really worth the money and if a hard candy like Jolly Ranchers might do the same trick. I decided to run an experiment. During the height of my morning sickness, I compared Preggie Pops to Jolly Ranchers, Gobstoppers, and Lemonheads. The only thing that eased my nausea were the Preggie Pops. The other candies were so sugary that they ended up making me feel even more nauseous than when I started. My findings: Preggie Pops are definitely worth the money (and I have 3 more boxes being shipped to my house as we speak).
The only downside to these pops is that if you suck on several in a row, the roof of your mouth becomes raw. My final thought about morning sickness is that you have to run some experiments to find what works for your body. My husband bought me acupressure bands (which many people rave about), and these did nothing for me but hurt my wrists. I also tried ginger flavored candy, which just made me sicker because I don't like the flavor of ginger to begin with. The only thing that I found to ease my sickness is Preggie Pops. But each person is different....keep trying different things until you find something that works for you!

I have not had awful nausea but when it hits these little drops help to nip it in the bud. I have been thankful to have them when the wave of nausea comes. I particularly like the drops over the pops because you can be more discreet about how you are feeling. Sucking on a lolli pop as an adult brings attention.

I love this product - after living on nothing but ginger ale and saltines for a week, I decided to try these and they actually worked. I tried some regular lemon drops while I was waiting for these to arrive in the mail, and they did help a little. But the Preggie Pop Drops are way better, at least for me. I can suck on them discreetly while in a meeting or pop one in when I'm running errands. I love the flavors (even the green apple, which I wasn't too sure about). The effects don't last too long, that would be my only complaint. But having the freedom to go to work and not carry a trash bag with me everywhere is worth it!

Works, but temporary.,

These were actually suggested to my by a friend of my fiance's. He said his wife went through them like crazy and they really helped. What I have found is that they do work, but only for a few minutes. It's true they work better than say a peppermint candy, and the sour is more tolerable. But like any "cure" for morning sickness, it's very fleeting. I usually eat them when I'm in the car and couldn't run for the bathroom. I'm still searching for that miracle cure, but until then these are a help.

I had really bad morning sickness for the first 4 months of pregnancy. These drops were the only food/candy that seemed to take the edge off of my constant nausea. They are a temporary fix, but worked great. Plus the tartness of them was delicious.

Ease Nausea & Good for Labor,
This review is from: Preggie Pop Drops (21 Pieces) - Assortment of Sour Flavors (Health and Beauty)
I was introduced to these at the end of my first trimester and they didn't completely remove my nausea but they significantly reduced it. I especially like the sour flavors...particularly Sour Raspberry. It didn't taste like medicine at all.
Our childbirth educator mentioned that many women get nauseated in labor, especially first labors. She also mentioned that sometimes you can speed up labor by sucking on something at the top of your mouth and placing pressure on the pressure point on the roof of your mouth. I brought these to the hospital thinking I could kill two birds with one stone. I used these in labor and they kept my mouth from getting dry, staved off some nausea, and made me feel like I was helping my labor along..even if it was only a placebo effect.

Just okay for me,

This product worked just okay for me. I have been majorly nauseous, and it works until the drop is gone, then it just comes back. Also-throwing up after one of these is extremely uncomfortable. VERY acidic, since it's sour. I've had better luck with sipping ginger ale, and Republic of Tea's decaf ginger peach tea (SO delish!). The one positive is that these do taste very good. I especially liked the raspberry flavor. I just don't think it's for very serious morning sickness.

My wife has used these for both of her pregnancies, her nausea is much better with it. We buy the pops over the lollipops as they are both cheaper and easier to use.

Preggie Pops and Drops,
This review is from: Preggie Pop Drops (21 Pieces) - Assortment of Sour Flavors (Health and Beauty)
I absolutely love this product. I have used them with three of my four children. If I had know I would have used with all of them. They are more expensive but well worth the money. I buy at least a four months supply as soon as I find out I am pregnant. I live in Japan so the worst part is waiting for them to come. I would recommend these to anyone having problems with nausea. They are a life saver.

Same as any candy,

Although these candies may be considered slightly more nutritious than other candies I don't think they did anything that any other hard candy, such as a jolly rancher, would have done. It's nice when you suffer from morning sickness to have something to suck on but I would have preferred that it be a lot more sour than these were. For the price I would either buy a bag of jolly ranchers or look for candy at your local health for store that doesn't contain high fructose corn syrup. These just weren't anything special.
