Very Helpful,

This review is from: Pregnancy Bedrest: A Journey of Love (Paperback)
Bedrest has been one of the most difficult tasks I have ever experienced. This book has been helpful in making my days shorter and my bedrest less stressful. This book helps me to feel like I am not alone. The author definately understands the struggles of the bedrest mom. I like her honesty about her struggles and her honesty has helped me to feel okay about my own struggles.

Excellent Book,

This book is the best bedrest book out of the five I have purchased while on bedrest. This author takes you from start to finish on the bedrest journey. She even includes the postpartum phase the bedrest mother may experience. After purchasing this book, I also purchased her pregnancy bestrest essentials set. It has helped greatly with reducing my anxiety, depression, and fears surrounding bestrest. I highly recommend this book for any woman experiencing the struggles of bedrest. This author has really given me hope.

The Bedrest Exercise Chapter is Wonderful,
By Anita (Richmond, VA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pregnancy Bedrest: A Journey of Love (Paperback)
After I received this book, I took it to my OB/GYN to review the bedrest exercises. He thought the exercises would be a great idea to help with my muscle stiffness and pain. He was right! Not only do I feel better physically, I think the exercises are helping emotionally too. It's nice to feel like I have a little control over my body again. Great book - after reading my book, I bought one for my OB/GYN to put in his office.

I bought this book that was recommended to me for a friend who was placed on bedrest. She was so grateful for the information it provided especially the relaxation techniques. I would recommend buying this book for any friend that you know who will have to deal with the disappointment of having to be placed on pregnancy bedrest.

Great Resource for a Mom with other children while on bedrest,
By Jamie (New York, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pregnancy Bedrest: A Journey of Love (Paperback)
I was very concerned when I was put on bedrest because I have a two year old and a six year old. The chapter in this book on caring for other children while on bedrest is EXCELLENT!! There is tons of information on how to entertain a toddler and stay in bed at the same time. Also, I am very grateful to have the stories and suggestions which helped me explain bedrest to my kids - each explanation being age appropriate for each child. I do not want my kids to worry about me while on bedrest and this book has helped me to put their minds at ease.

This book is an excellent resource for the first time bedrest patient. The information on how to set up your resting place is great. Also, I really like the kick-count charts in the back of the book. Being able to monitor and document my baby's activity gives me peace of mind. This book is a must have!

The best book I've found!,
By Brooke (Mission Viejo, Ca USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pregnancy Bedrest: A Journey of Love (Paperback)
This book is so great! The author does a good job balancing helpful information and dealing with complex emotions. There are lots of great activities, useful links & resources, in-bed exercises/stretches. It's amazing how much is contained in this little book! I have a feeling I will be referring to it often during my pregnancy. If you are also on bedrest with complications, hang in there & God bless!

Well Written and FULL of Invaluable Information!!!,
By Kathy "Kathy" (Detroit, MI) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pregnancy Bedrest: A Journey of Love (Paperback)
I like that the author talks about the spiritual challenges bedrest brings into a families life without focusing on a particular religion - very uplifting. No other bedrest book does this. I have struggled with blaming myself and thinking I am being punished because of my problem pregnancy. It's nice to know these feeling are normal and that I don't have to blame myself for something I have no control over. I feel better about myself as a person. Also, the questions for your doctor section covers everything!!! Great Book!!!

Bedrest Roadmap,
By Elise (Wyoming) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pregnancy Bedrest: A Journey of Love (Paperback)
I LOVE THIS BOOK!! The author details the emotional difficulties of bedrest and then provides information on how to cope with the emotional difficulties. The other books I have read have lots of information but fall short when addressing emotions. Just knowing that my feelings are normal makes me fell better about myself as a mother.

This was an ok read. Since I was on bedrest when I got it I read it but it was lame. All the suggestions are things you either have already done or have been suggested. If you get it as a gift or for free it'd be ok...as long as you have nothing better to do!
