The All-inclusive Pregnancy Journal,
By Latrice Ford (Mount Pleasant,SC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pregnancy Diary (Paperback)
This is an excellent book for expecting mothers. It has a space for your thoughts for each week of pregnancy. Fourty to fourty-five weeks is a long time to be carrying a child, and sometimes you wonder what's happening inside you from day to day. Well this journal tells you weekly the changes that your body and baby are undergoing. Iloved it because it left space for phtographs to be attached showing just how differently you look once you start growing. It asks thought provoking questions like "How did you tell your husband you were expecting"? and "Why did you suspect you were pregnant"? It also has a place for you to record your weight, blood sugar, fundal height, and etc. for each time you have a doctor's visit. There's also room for questions and names you might be considering. There's so much more that this book has to offer, but last but not least, it has space for you to write about the labor and delivery and once you've taken baby home. The only thing I don't like about the book is that it's in black and white.

A special journal to capture the magic of pregnancy,
This review is from: Pregnancy Diary (Paperback)
I really enjoyed keeping track of my pregnancy in this diary. It asked great questions about my thoughts, feelings, and dreams as my pregnancy progressed. It was nice to keep track of how big the baby was getting, what physical symptoms I was experiencing, and how I was preparing myself emotionally for our new family. A great follow-on companion to this book is "Cradle the Thought" by Tracy D. Nelson. It is a journal for the new mother to record her feelings and experiences during the first year after the baby is born. Both books are great ways for the new mother to capture the magic of pregnancy and new motherhood.

This book is wonderful if you are expecting!,

I loved this book. It gives information about the progress of your baby for each week of pregnancy. It also asks a lot of questions that really make you think. When my little one (now 4) is being a monster I like to look back and remember how excited I was for his arrival, and somehow he seems a little less naughty!

I am a journaler,

If you aren't into writing this may not be for you. I jotted things down and really enjoyed reading this book. I enjoyed my other journal better though, it was hardcover and you could add memorabilia better. But, it's a great book for a journal happy mommy to be.

Excellent way to capture those precious..,

and sometimes not-so-precious memories of pregnancy. I like that it asks questions throughout that prompt you to write about things that you wouldn't otherwise. It's a great way to track the growth, your moods, cravings, what names you're considering, etc. So far I have two and now that I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant again, I'm buying a third! Also makes a great gift.

The best pregnancy book ever!!,
By Faith Brady (bradyb@mwr.is) (Iceland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pregnancy Diary (Paperback)
I kept this diary for all three of my pregnancys, even the one I miscarried after 9 weeks. It gives you a weekly update of the growth and activity of your baby and really gets you through those long 40 weeks and gives you something to look back on and remember that they weren't that long after all.

Poor quality book with misinformation,
By chisq (Little Rock, AR) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pregnancy Diary (Paperback)
I picked up this book not only for the journal aspect of it, but also for the information sprinkled through it. The 'Your Growing Baby' sections on week 1 and week 2 are patently, completely, unabashadly false. As this book reckons the pregnancy timetable (starting from last period and ending at 40 weeks), there is no baby present during weeks 1 and 2, unless the mother ovulated incredibly early (which would throw the book's other milestones all off anyhow). There is enough confusion and misunderstanding regarding fertility; we don't need a book telling women they conceive during their periods.
In the end, this book fulfills neither of the goals it aspires to: it is too unweildly and large to take to prenatal visits, while the information it gives is scanty and misleading enough to make it a very substandard pregnancy book. Maybe that's why I found my copy at a thrift store? Ditch this book and pick up 'Your Pregnancy, Week by Week' instead.

You will be disappointed!,
By Jennifer Crosby (Baxley, Georgia United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pregnancy Diary (Paperback)
First of all this diary is cheaply made, the pages are plain and ugly, the same pictures are repeated throughout the book. This "diary" begins asking you questions about being pregnant before you actually know you are pregnant. This is repeated throughout the "diary". One prompt asks "what your baby is aware of" weeks before you even feel your baby move. Each week, you are prompted to write about your dreams. It seems boring and insignificant to write about dreams each week. I would also like to mention that this "diary" prompts very similar topics like: "what doubts do you have about the new life ahead of you" and another "what doubts do you have about being a mother". If you want a really nice keepsake- get creative and think about the things you want to remember most. Create your own prompts. Work with your mother, mother-in-law, other mothers to create these prompts that will help you create a beautiful keepsake. Don't waste your money on this "diary"!

Disappointment,
By A Customer
This review is from: Pregnancy Diary (Paperback)
I was disappointed with the quality of the book. Cheap paper. Not something I wanted to look over again and again like my other journals. Plus the book contained content about dreams and their interpretation. Something I am not interested in. The zodiac content also surprised me. There are plenty of other pregnancy diaries that you could purchase.

A Very Unique Gift!,
By
This review is from: Pregnancy Diary (Paperback)
Two of my daughters are having a baby this year and I couldn't have chosen a more perfect gift! I gave one to each of them at the very beginning of their pregnancy and they have religously filled in the pages as the weeks have gone by. This diary is not only informative but is also sentimental and humorous. They have phoned me several times just to tell me about something in their book. The book takes them all the way through the pregnancy and continues for a short while after the birth. It's the perfect gift from a mother to a daughter.
