I have been carrying very low this pregnancy and the doctor suggested I get a support belt to help with the pelvic pain I have been experiencing.I looked online, and the reviews and price for this belt both seemed great.
I was in so much pain that when the package came I couldn't wait to get the belt on and feel a little bit of relief. I put it on and it was a JOKE! I felt like I had just strapped some sort of chineese torture band around my body. The only way I got relief from the pressure on my pelvic was if I wore it really low, but then I couldn't bend over, squat, pee or sit! So,I guess if you don't plan on taking long strides when you walk, bending over, peeing, squating or sitting-this belt is for you!..grrr I am so frustrated! Look elsewhere-this 'support' belt is completely unrealistic and uncomfortable!

I looked at support belts for weeks before deciding on this one. I'm glad that I bought it because it arrived right before Thanksgiving and was a life saver with all the standing/cooking. At first it felt a little snug and funny (it's a pretty big belt) but after the second time I wore it I hardly noticed when I had it on, while standing. Sitting down is another story. Although I don't really need support while I'm sitting, so this doesn't factor into my review. ***Please note that the sizes do run large.*** I'm 5'11 and weigh 265 right now and the LARGE fits me fine. I took one star off because sometimes the velcro that attaches the back support to the front belly band rides a little low and rubs the top of my thigh. I just readjust and all is well, but it's a little annoying.
I bought this thing because my left leg was falling asleep and my belly button and right side of my tummy was stinging. This totally helped and I would recommend it to any woman with discomfort during pregnancy! It's definitely more support than the Bella Band type things, but that's what a big belly needs...a little lift and support! Have a happy and comfy pregnancy!

I love this belt! I am a dental assistant with back and hip issues. Everyday I have to lean and bed over people and this belt has been great! The only thing I do not like about it is, being pregnant you have to pee alot and you must undo the belt to use the bathroom. But, at then end of the day it is worth it. My baby dosen't seem to like it very much, he trys to push and kick it off if its too tight.

It's not the most comfortable thing in the world but it works and my pain is not nearly as bad as it was before I got the belt. The package came in an envelope and was smashed beyond all recognition but since the belt is mostly elastic there was no damage to the belt.

I was pregnant with triplets when I purchased this back brace and it definitely helped out with the back pain I was experiencing. I was able to work until 28 weeks, and I know it's because I was wearing this. It is quite bulky, but it stays in place and is very supportive. It's awkward to first use, but once you figure out where your comfortable spot is, it's great.

This was a great product, very supportive and comfortable. It was great while standing up, but I'm short and sitting for any length of time in this was VERY uncomfortable.

Poor customer service,
This review is from: Pregnancy Maternity Support Belt, Soft Form by FLA Universal/Medium (Health and Beauty)
When I ordered the maternity support belt to relieve my back pain, DocOrtho sent me a different size than what I had ordered. Then, when I found the energy to get around to returning the belt, they refused to give me a refund. Worse, the customer service staff were unapologetic and snide. This was the last things I needed in my 38th week of pregnancy. When I worked in customer service I was taught that "The customer is always right". DocOrtho apparently teaches their employees that "It is always the customer's fault". I will definitely never buy anything from DocOrtho again. Luckily there are lots of other, hopefully friendlier, options for places to buy these support belts.
