5.0 out of 5 stars Deeply Moving Story
Lucy Monroe writes another tale of abiding love and sizzling passion.

Elisa thought she had put her disastrous affair with Salvatore di Vitale behind her. He did not believe the child she had carried was his and when she lost the baby her work fell apart. Now one year later Salvatore has been sent by her father to provide security for the jewelry store that...

Unfortunately, the story was predictable and boring. Salvatore is supposed to be some kind of knight in shining armor but he's comes across as too controlling. The last straw is when he goes behind Elisa's back and had her replaced at her job--and she just rolls over and accepts it. For me, that's when the story really died. The last straw is when he goes behind Elisa's back and had her replaced at her job--and she just rolls over and accepts it. For me, that's when the story really died. Elisa was supposed to be this strong, independent woman, but she's not very intelligent and it shows.

Lucy Monroe writes another tale of abiding love and sizzling passion.

Elisa thought she had put her disastrous affair with Salvatore di Vitale behind her. He did not believe the child she had carried was his and when she lost the baby her work fell apart. Now one year later Salvatore has been sent by her father to provide security for the jewelry store that she works.

Salvatore had not stopped thinking about Elisa. He realized to late that he treated her unfairly and this was a golden chance to win her back. When danger strikes Salvatore takes to guarding Elisa 24/7. This can only led to a resumption of their affair. But can Salvatore win her love and her trust?

Pregnancy Of Passion is rich with deep emotions, whether its love or anger. These two former lovers have misconceptions to overcome. This story really works its way into your heart.

Lucy Monroe has to be a must read for any romance lover.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a wonderful story!, December 10, 2006

From the back: It was a year since their tempestuous affair had ended. So why was he back? Elisa trusted Salvatore di Vitale as far as she could throw him. And, as the wealthy Sicilian was over six feet tall, that wasn't very far.
Salvatore told Elisa he had come to protect her. And if their close proximity led to passion...and if passion should lead to pregnancy...all the better! Because then Elisa would have to marry him, which was Salvatore's plan all along.

This is truly a beautiful love story. I haven't been too happy with the last few Harlequin Presents that Lucy Monroe has written, mainly because they all seemed the same and her hero and heroine would argue and bicker for more than half the story with the story usually falling flat. But this book has none of the unnecessary bickering and arguments but is rather a very tender and heartwarming story. I loved her characters, the story made sense and has all the passion that a Monroe book is known to have! A must read!

5.0 out of 5 stars sweet story, December 28, 2011
i thought the story was sweet... sometimes life is not what you want and timing is everything. I liked the book and in the end i thought about all the instances in my life that timing was key. I liked this story very much.

5.0 out of 5 stars So good! Rare for a Harlequin Book, November 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Not only was it well written but I felt that for what it was that the characters were well developed with a good backstory. Part of the reason that I enjoyed this book so much was that the hero, Salvatore, did not verbally abuse Elisa throughout the whole book. Now when the author described a flashback our hero was quite mean and Elisa had every reason to feel they way she felt about him but our wonderful hero wooed her back into his life a year later and did so without being abusive in any way, shape or form. He was a very dominant alpha male but that is to be expected with Harlequin. I appreciate that Lucy Monroe did not have our heroine take the arrogant ways of Salvatore. She talked back but wasn't annoying, mean or whiny with it. I could see them falling in love and never once did I feel as if the heroine should run away and never look back. Out of all the Harlequin romances out there this one is probably one of the best I have read.

3.0 out of 5 stars predictable, July 26, 2007

Some of the actions/conversations/thoughts of the female lead character gave me the impression she was not so intelligent. I thought the book was interesting, but I thought some of her other books were better.
