This CD focused primarily on breathing, which definitely relaxed me. I do agree that it can help one fall asleep. I liked the soothing background music as well as the spoken voice. I was hoping it would also help with the prenatal bonding between mom and baby, which I find it lacking. I think the focus on breathing in Schardt's CD will be very helpful during labor.

As a comparison, I also purchased the following CD on Amazon's Zshops.

A Mother's Lullaby CD Guided Meditation/Relaxation/Bonding for Pregnancy

I liked "A Mother's Lullaby" more than "Pregnancy Relaxation" because "AML" focused on the Mother/Baby connection in addition to relaxation.

I bought this CD and find it to deliver on its title promise. It is a pregnancy relaxation cd and not one that focuses heavily on bonding with baby, although she does refer to that too. It has two tracks where the speaker guides you thru a meditation/relaxation while really nice soft background music plays. I really find the music soothing and am glad that she allows the music to play for awhile after done with the guided imagery. Basically the first track is a breathing focused meditation/relaxation and the second is a progressive relaxation exercise which leads one in tensing certain muscles and then relaxing them, all to background music. All in all, I do relax when listening to it, and turn to it for those reasons. I guess I only wish there were a few more selections on it but I'd buy it again.

I very much enjoy this CD for many reasons. It addressed completely my need for relaxation. The techniques; guided imagery, music and breathing exercises were excellent. I found the references to my unborn baby comforting and empowering. It seems Dana Schardt is a consumate professional and very passionate about the need for relaxation during pregnancy. She has filled a long standing void.

I am ordering a CD for my sister-in-law with the confidence she will benefit from it as I have. Thank you Dana!

I had higher hopes for this CD and have been disappointed. There are only 2 relaxation tracks on it. The first one isn't bad though it would have been better if there were more birth affirmations and something to prepare you for a positive labour experience. But the 2nd track is just appalling. In fact the background music has the opposite effect from relaxation and left me feeling anxious. I even had my husband try this CD and he said it got on his nerves and made him more tense after just 5 minutes!

My husband and I recently purchased music CD... "Pregnancy Relaxtion".....Guide To Peaceful Beginings........by Dana Schardt.....Words cannot express how totally happy we both are with its content! Dana is not only consoling in voice and delivery, but her instructions are detailed and easy to follow.....we actually feel the bonding and the contact with our unborn baby each time we listen to it, and the bacground music selections are extremely relaxing, they assist us in dealing with tremendous stress...that comes with the ordeals of pregnacy management...We not only highly rate it at 5 stars, we also advise other future parents to utilize its content.... its a winner! ....Fans From Illinois

I found that the entire CD is filled with instructions on how to breathe. "Breathe in and out, breathe in and out!" Then it will say, "now think about your baby"! Thats it! I was very disappointed.

Dana Schardt CD "Pregnancy Relaxation"...Guide to Peaceful Beginings is an outstanding CD for pregnant women. The background music, her soft assuring voice in the breathing exercise, bring mother and baby together as she did. was not only very soothing but very relaxing.

I would highly recommend all expecting parents to have this CD. It's a 5 star all the way.

I can't begin to explain to your customers, what an absolute joy it was to experience the feelings and warmth of this fine release. Dana Schardt helped me achieve, just what I was searching for. It not only has tremendous musical background selection, but inspired me throughout, filling me with a pure sense of total relaxation, and feelngs of communicating with my soon to be born child! I gave it five stars, knowing it will do the same for other expectant mothers!
