The list author says: "I've never considered myself a baby person and never paid much attention to anything baby related so when I got pregnant I researched everything! These are the items I couldn't live without so I thought I'd share. Hope you find it useful and congratulations it's a wonderful life ahead!"
"Used this the first two months after we brought our daughter home. She was so tiny and placing her on her back in her crib just didn't feel right so we placed the kiddopotamus snuggler listed next in the rocker, swaddled her up and she slept great. We still bring this out even at four months whenever she has a stuffy nose because it keeps her upright."
"The swing was a must for us those first three months especially. If you want to get a little housework done every once in a while this is great to lull baby into a quick nap until they get used to napping in their crib."
"Some people say a wipes warmer isn't necessary but I love it! I swear a warm wipe works better and keeps my daughter happy. Also call me crazy but I just find it more convenient to pull from it's dispenser as opposed to those flimsy wipes tubs."
"Love this lightweight blanket. Our daughter was a summer baby and these aren't too thick but just right for swaddling and protection from the A/C in the house. I have two of these, the white with green octagons and the pink paisley."
"Sooo cute! Not sure who enjoys this story more but it's the book I grab the most. I won't bore you with my many book suggestions so I'll just tell you our current favorite. Our little girl can be tired and grumbly but when one of us reads this book to her she listens with fascination and she loves to look at the bright pictures. (Itsy is the most adorable spider you've ever seen!)"
"This says for ages three and up but every time we get this out our daughter grins from ear to ear. Right now at four months she loves to stick her finger inside his mouth as he "sings". Don't blame me though if you sing "My Darling Clementine" long after the toy is put away because I warned you."
"Don't ask me why but out of all my daughters toys (and there is a lot) she loves this elephant. He gets clipped to her car seat and to her bouncy chair and even gets snuggled in her swing. She loves his crinkly ears and thinks it's great when you pull his cord. We nicknamed him Elvis because of his blue sueded feet:)"
"My little girl's lovey. We take this everywhere, she loves to feel the tags between her fingers and it's small enough to easily fit in my diaper bag. She is getting to the point where she will stretch her hand out and make the rubbing motion with her fingers signaling that she wants her lovey... So cute!"
"Oh how I love my iPad. Not only is it nicely portable and lightweight but I can download fun apps for babies including one we are currently using for baby signing as well as childrens songs and play them for our little one. I also use it for downloading books, puzzles, games, and of course surf the net or check email. It's absolutely fabulous!"
