This review is from: Pregnant: Father Needed (Harlequin Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
In "Pregnancy: Bombshell" was the story of Sara the mother of Amber Woodworth. There we learned that Amber was pregnant and had just lost her husband. Now she is a widow.

Still grieving for Jimmy, she is slowly trying to go forward and look to raising her baby.

The trouble starts when she sees this hunky male running in the park near her apartment.

Adam sure catches her interest. Her interest makes her feel guilty. How could she look at another man when Jimmy has been gone only a few months?

Ah, but it gets more confusing and frustrating? when she learns that Adam lives in her same apartment building.

He intrigues her, he makes her feel again and he pursues her.

Is she that lonely? She can't tell anyone of her interest in this man.

Adam and Amber start bonding and she keeps pushing him away - he is a fireman and she is afraid of losing another loved one.

Ah, the joy when Adam first feels the baby move, yet he does not want any commitments.

These two have a lot of emotional conflicts to work through.

This is a wonderful story with excellent characters in Bets, Sara and Matt and others.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - thoroughly enjoyable - set should be shared with others.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ms. McMahon writes stories that are heartwarmingly real......., January 25, 2008

Pregnant: Father Needed by Barbara McMahon

Harlequin Romance # 3851 - July 2005

The day she got the knock on the door announcing her husband had been killed in action, Amber discovered she was pregnant. Just turning 20, Amber knows she's lucky. She has a great support system; her mother and new stepfather and her in-laws. It's only been a couple of months, since Jimmy died and Amber finds herself watching the jogger, in fact, timing her walks in the park to match his daily jog. Adam's noticed the beautiful young woman in the park everyday. And finally gets the courage to talk to her. Amber discovers he's a firefighter, a dangerous job like Jimmy's. Adam discovers she's a widow living in his apartment building. They strike up a friendship. Adam wants more, but Amber is afraid of Adam's job, she'd never be able to handle her daily fear.

Ms. McMahon writes stories that are heartwarmingly real. Amber's impulsive marriage, her pregnancy and Jimmy's death become real. Adam's struggle as he realizes he wants to spend his life with Amber and the frustration he experiences with Amber's fear of his career. Well done! I will be happy to read more from Ms. McMahon
