Un sonero de hoy con un sonido de ayer,
This review is from: Le Preguntaba a La Luna (Audio CD)
This album by Victor Manuelle is throw back to 60's / 70's sonero style salsa that became so popular in New York in those years. It has the flavor of yesteryear with some acoustics and musical arrangements of today's salsa nuances. Right from the start the album was convincing and right through to the end the album kept delivering a high standard of songs which is so characteristic of Victor Manuelle. This is definitely a different style by the "sonero" who has paved a convincing career path over the years. However, this salsa is in a class by itself. There is no other album of his to compare it to. It's very unique and truly outstanding. Give it a try....y no tienes que preguntarle a luna. This is a wonderful album indeed!

The Best Yet!!!,
By Wilfredo Diaz (Bronx, NY United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Le Preguntaba a La Luna (Audio CD)
As a devout listener of salsa music, I must say that this CD is trully reflective of the artist Victor Manuelle. I believe he went back to his grassroots type of salsa and compiled an excellent array of tracks that are trully great, including the first single, "En Nombre de los dos". He is "el sonero de la juventud" and as we Puerto Riquenos say..."en esta-se boto!!!" May he continue to produce great melodies and songs from the heart.

There are somethings you can always count on,
By "jerzeyguy83" (Ewing, NJ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Le Preguntaba a La Luna (Audio CD)
Victor Manuelle has proved himself again. Not only those this album have great songs but different from his previous albums it has a mellower, softer mood. The album is very different from "Insticto y Deseo", which I thought was great, because there is no one great song like Quisiera Inventar, instead every song is good and has it's distinct style. Don't get me wrong, the first time I heard this album I wasn't satisfied, but it grew on me. The album just gets better everytime you listen to it. The lyrics are as meaningful as his other cds and what else can I say, Victor Manuelle is simply the best.
