Pinkerton at his best!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Prehistoric Pinkerton (Hardcover)
Pinkerton is losing his baby teeth! Everything in the house is getting chewed to pieces and you will never believe what happens when Pinkerton tags along on a school field trip to the museum! The Pinkerton books have always been among our favorites and "Prehistoric Pinkerton" is no exception. The illustrations are wonderful and the story is magnificient!

Having read the "Pinkerton" series to my kids when they were little I couldn't resist buying some of them for my daughter in her mid-twenties who now has a Great Dane that is also a harlequin. I remembered fondly the books from twenty years ago so I would highly recommend them to parents today to read to their kids. By the way, reading to your kids makes a tremendous difference in their verbal skills and comprehension plus gives them a desire to read for themselves.

My daughter has a thing for animals and I remember reading these when I was younger and falling in love with Pinkerton. It's fun for me to revisit this large dog and my memories of it with my children. For anyone who has ever had a dog - or kids, you should find Pinkerton books quite worth the read. Tallyho Pinkerton is her current favorite. I'm working on owning every Kellogg book out there.

I thought the book was great...and such a cute story about a puppy who's teething on everything in site. I had given it to my 3 year old grandson, but it didn't quite hold his enterest. The colors used in the pictures are more muted and not vibrant like a person would find in other children's books. But again, it was a very cute story.
