Review from Romantic Times, November 27, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Premeditated Marriage (Paperback)
Below is the review from Romantic Times in which Premeditated Murder received 4.5 stars (fantastic): TOP PICK! Augustus T. Riley is on a mission. He believes that Charlie Larkin committed murder and is getting away with it. Devising a plan, he pulls into the one-horse town of Utopia, Montana faking car trouble. Imagine his surprise when he realizes his primary suspect is a petite woman in mechanic's overalls, who fires his blood and sparks his desires. As the best mechanic in five counties, she knows a car trouble pretense when she sees it, but no man ever made her feel like Gus does. PREMEDITATED MARRIAGE by fan favorite BJ Daniels is a suspenseful tale, blended artfully with a romance that will warm your heart. It teems with small-town characters who change their fears into dreams. Fans of romantic suspense won't be able to put down this page-turner. Definitely a keeper! 4 1/2 stars - Top Pick RT Book Club

GREAT MURDER MYSTERY - WITH EMOTIONALLY MIXED UP CHARACTERS, October 27, 2008
This review is from: Premeditated Marriage (Paperback)
To me a review is no good unless the characters are listed - that is how I remember the stories.
Agustist T. Riley - 36, a true-crime writer. He has an agenda and that is to prove "Charlie" Larkin is a murder.
Charlotte "Charlie" Larkin - 27, thought she brought bad luck to the men who new her. They are now dead. She is also taking care of her mother and her Aunt Selma.
Quinn Simonson - has stolen most of the girls virginity around Utopia. But did Charlie cause his death?
Jenny Lee Simonson - wife of Forest, who was Quinn's brother. Their daughter, Skye looked so much like Quinn.
Josh Whitaker - was he another victim of "Charlies'" they dragged his body from Freeze Out Lake a year after he disappeared.
T.J. Blue - his living quarters burned down. Was this connected with "Charlie"? What about Rickie Moss's bad luck?
Earlene Kurtz - everyone in town knew she was pregnant with Quinn's baby seven years ago, even Charlotte. Did their arguement cause his death?
This doesn't explain half of the mixed emotions these characters feel over the deaths of Quinn 7 years ago and Josh about a year ago. Gus is going to get to the bottom of these mysteries. He will certainly be in danger from the killer.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED --

Its OK to be a jerk if you're good-looking apparently, November 24, 2002

This review is from: Premeditated Marriage (Paperback)
Augustus T. Riley is a celebrated true crime writer. He's come to little-town America to expose a serial murderer...Charlie Larkin. Every man she's been in contact with has befallen some disaster, even death. He falls for her, she falls for him. They catch the bad guy. The End. Except he's an idiot. He goes into his "investigation" _knowing_ all the answers, giving ammunition to her enemies and she falls into his arms when he suddenly grabs her and kisses her (after being really mean to her for a couple of days).

This review is from: Premeditated Marriage (Paperback)
Charlotte 'Charlie' Larkin believed she'd been cursed when it came to matters of the heart, especially since every man she'd ever been involved with has met with an untimely end. To add insult to injury, to-die-for true-crime write Gus Riley had come to the remote Montana town to research her for his next book!
Following an attempt on Charlie's life, Gus insisted the two join forces to pursue the investigation. Charlie was unwittingly drawn to her sexy protector, but she knew she should keep her distance. Except when Gus insisted they pretend to be involved to draw out the killer, her defenses crumbled at his all-to-real advances. And being in close proximity to Gus made Charlie forget that the arrangement was supposed to be temporary - which was dangerous while the real killer lurked.
