5.0 out of 5 stars A Winner!
As a dog trainer I frequently try new products. Premier makes some of the best thought out interactive toys on the market. I stock this toy for use with clients' dogs who eat too fast--it makes meal times play time, too! Using the dog's regular kibble allows the dog to get a big "pay day" when the toy is tossed. Any dog must be supervised when playing with a treat toy...

2.0 out of 5 stars My puppy doesn't like the rubber smell
Dachshund puppy is not interested in this toy. It smells like rubber and no matter what I stuff it with or rub it in, it still smells like rubber.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love Busy Buddy toys, May 1, 2010

Great toy for a new puppy. My little Morkie loves hers. She hasn't quite mastered it yet but loves to chew on the center portion. Soft rubber and light enough for a 4lb puppy to carry around. The treats have to be really small to fit the Xsmall size but that is expected. Quality of product is very strong and durable. Made with the young puppy in mind.

Now have this toy Premier Busy Buddy Puppy Waggle Treat Dog Toy, Extra-Small (Colors Vary) for over 6 months and it is very sturdy - has held up very well. I actually have the Small size and my dog is almost 17lbs. I find this size to be perfect for her.

I use it to give my dog her lunch or dinner if we are going to be away during those times. Keeps her busy and she gets fed at the same time. Of course it does not work with all sorts of dog foods. You have to have a dry kibble that is on the small side, but again, can't be too small or it will come out easily and therefore create no challenge for your dog. But if you find your dog's food just slightly too large, there are small rubber pieces right inside the opening that can be snipped off with a scissors to make the opening larger. Just snip one piece at a time and test it.

I do like that this is a durable toy, but I was also a little disappointed that once the food is gone my pup had no interest in playing with it. So good for feeding/treating but nothing more for my girl. This is probably a toy better seen before buying to see if your dog's food is going to work with this otherwise you will have to go out and find the right size treats for it - but hey, that's not bad either:)

4.0 out of 5 stars Great toy!, May 28, 2010

I bought this toy for my new Pomeranian puppy. He chews on it as hard as he can to get the treats out, but no pieces have even frayed off yet. The material it's made out of is very durable. The only thing I noticed is if you buy the treats that come with it, it's almost too easy for him to get them out. I've started breaking up Alpo treats and using them. That way it's more of a challenge and it keeps him entertained longer. Overall, this is a great toy, and I think it will last a long time!

2.0 out of 5 stars NO strong chewers!, July 25, 2010
This review is from: Premier Busy Buddy Puppy Waggle Treat Dog Toy (Misc.)
I love Premier toys. Very well designed and thought out. However, if they could make them more durable...

2.0 out of 5 stars NOT HAPPY WITH IT . . ., August 11, 2011

If you use small treats or food kibbles, they fall right out. If you use larger ones, the dog can't get them out and you end up having to dig them out to throw them away. Kong's are much better.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not in Good Taste!, July 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Although the design seems perfect, the rubber material has a disgusting taste! It became evident when I handled it and then touched my mouth with my hands. Odor and taste had to be scrubbed off with soap. My dog wouldn't even eat the almond butter spread in the grooves, which he has always licked clean. Big disappointment!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Durable and Treats come out as they should, December 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My Irish Terrier is a real chewer and this is one of two toys that has lasted. My dog is not interested in working for his treats, so we don't use it as intended. Not the fault of the toy. The treats are eliminated as you prefer based on the size of treat you put in them. The smaller they are, the easier they come out. Others have mentioned a strong rubbery smell that keeps the dog from going after the treats. It smelled of rubber, but not excessively. The toy we have is over a year old now and the smell is completely gone. My guy still does not work to get the treats out (but we would never call him lazy).
