Quality: This is better than I expected. The fabric is thick and very durable. The metal hardware also seems to be of good quality. The fabric surface has a soft feeling to it, without hard-edges, so I guess the dog likes it too.

Size: I bought a small size for my 10 lb sheltie (yes, it is one of the smallest shelties I ever seen), and it works great. I noticed that my small size collar can actually expand and accommodate much larger neck too: up to about 12 inches in circumference and 16-17 inches when fully expanded (ie, the head of the dog should not be bigger than this). It can go down to as small as 7 inches in circumference. So if your dog's neck is between 7 to 12 inches (in circumference), the small size works beautifully.

I bought this collar to replace a similar older martingale type collar that had begun to wear out. Unfortunately, I was fooled by the first impression when receiving the item; Great quality fabric, hardware, and packaging, so I thought I was getting something that was perfect for what we needed. Unfortunately, the Large size is much too big for our 90lb Coonhound. He doesn't have a particularly thin neck, and he has never worn anything other than a Large in any product (HE'S 90 POUNDS!!). We should have gotten a Medium, apparently.

Unfortunately, the fabric is very smooth, as is the hardware, and ultimately, the collar slips constantly. I am repeatedly readjusting the collar throughout the day, since the collar opens up at the adjustment buckle without much effort at all. Unfortunately, it's too late to return it as these problems only uncovered themselves after a day or two of use, and it had already become dirty.

I wanted to love it, but unfortunately I cannot recommend this item at all.

Admittedly I bought this particular collar because I wanted a martingale style to run with my 30lb Coonhound mix, and this one qualified us for free shipping since we were buying other products. I also didn't realized it was recycled materials used and it creates this nice-feeling, almost softer version of the normal nylon webbing. Also, the stock image does not do it justice - this collar is neon green! Take a look at Premier ECO Quick Snap Dog Collar to get a better idea of the color. All in all, very cute and very sturdy collar. My pup is also thrilled to have gotten rid of the uncomfortable harness when we run.

nice quality, however, color is neon green. not kelly green, like it looks in the pic. happy with the product otherwise.

As I said this works but it is not our favorite collar. I like that it tightens but won't strangle the dog. But I found one with a chain closure that we like much better..

Have a Jack, foster, who is not even close to being trained ;-) Looks like a decent collar, came quick, hoping it helps with his pulling on a leash. I think he will learn he likes to breath better than running full tilt down a hill with me sliding after him....great color, bought in red and blue.

First, I ordered this color in "fern green" and was expecting, like it says, fern green (I'm guessing a darker shaded green with some brown undertones or something - thought it would look nicely on black fur), but it is LIME GREEN and really bright! It's like NEON lime green, which is sort of ugly to me.
The collar is great and is not as harsh as a choke chain. A couple of my dogs have a skin allergy or sensitivity to the metal used on choke chains, so this is an alright alternative.
The one problem I have is that if this collar gets wet AT ALL, it smells so bad, almost like when a towel gets wet and doesn't dry for a couple of days (icky, gross). I kept smelling something bad and couldn't find the source. I looked everywhere, and finally when I came near the collar, it got stronger. I picked it up and didn't even have to bring it close to my face to know that this was the source of the smell.
I tried washing the collar in the washer, but I can't seem to get rid of it. My dogs are very active and can't seem to stay dry when I take them for walks. I'm very disappointed that I can't get the awful smell out because I only got to use it once or twice, and it is what I wanted (minus the smell and color); that's why I only gave it two stars (don't like it). I almost gave it 3, but I can't get past the smell. Even if I did get it out, I would have to wash it every time it got wet, which would be every time I took the dogs out.

This collar works great for our Italian Greyhound, at first I worried whether it was a little too big for him, but with a few adjustments it fits nicely. It is loose when there is no tention on the small loop and the big loop closes up if he tries to slip out of the collar. It works just like the discription said it would. The green color looks awesome on our dark brown Iggy!

Good quality but don't get it for a puppy. It's meant for mature dog and can be dangerous for a puppy who doesn't know how to walk on a leash yet.

Also it takes some time to loosen the collar, put it over the dog's head then tighten. I'll be buying one with a clip next time.

im going to order one in different colors for all of my dogs, thses are my favorite type of collar, its not a choker but they cant get it over there head!
