I bought the Feather Tether Bird harness for my Cockatoo. This device works but is unnecessarily difficult to use. The metal clasps require you to use your fingernail to actuate, blindly under a feathered wing. The clasps swivel too, so it takes 5x as long to put this on your bird than a simple kitten harness with tough plastic connector mechanisms. My bird didn't mind the harness once it was on. And actually he liked the whole fiddling process because of all the extra attention. However, my patience was wearing out. I bought a similar styled kitten harness for less that uses the clip connectors you see on luggage except these are size appropriate. With 2 clips the kitten harness was on (3 swivel metal clips for the Feather Tether) and was equally suitable. The kitten harness came with a little bell which my Cockatoo removed after a few minutes.

I bought this harness for my Red-Bellied parrot Sweet Pea. I must say that it fits well, but the width of it is rather thick for comfort for her. I think it would have been perfect if it was about 2/3rds or even half of how wide it is.

I'll keep trying...so far she chews on it too much to keep it on for long. LOL Maybe she'll eventually get used to it, in little increments of time.

I've been using the "petite" size for my cockatiel for several years and only just bought a new one.

I'm very happy with this harness. The figure-8 style is secure and I don't feel like I'm choking him or putting pressure on him. It's so nice to be able to take him out and about with me in the nice weather. Also, I have roommates so being able to take him around the house with me and not worry he's going to slip out is great for both of us.

He doesn't *love* the harness but he tolerates it well and he doesn't put up a fuss when I slip it on. He mostly just rides around on my shoulder while I have the handle clipped to my belt loop.
