4.0 out of 5 stars 2+ Years Experience with this Mount
I own two of these mounts. The first one I bought over two years ago to hold a 37" LCD. The mount has performed flawlessly over that time and is still rock solid. We use the full range of motion and change the position frequently (daily). It is still as solid as the day we installed it. Remember, this is an older 37" LCD. I imagine it's likely heavier than a "new" 37"...

1.0 out of 5 stars pood description.
I purchase a AM2-B mount from amazon. The Specs at the Premier Mount web site said it would mount a VESA 200x200 tv. The actual mount will only mount a 100x100 or a 75x75, with the adapter plate provided it will only mount a 200x100. The amazon web description is very poor. I returned the product. The additional LCD Adapter Plate as descriped provides no detailed...

4.0 out of 5 stars 2+ Years Experience with this Mount, December 31, 2008
This review is from: Premier Mounts AM2-B Articulating Wall Mount for 10" to 40" LCD Displays (Black) (Electronics)
I imagine it's likely heavier than a "new" 37" screen.

I just bought another one of these to hold a 19" LCD. The mount tucks up nicely (almost completely) behind a panel even that small. It gets moved constantly (3+ times per day) and I'm sure it's up to the task. I prefer this one's matte-black finish to the silver finish of my first mount, but both are neat and attractive.

Overall, this is an extremely sturdy mount at 37" and under. Joint tension is able to be adjusted with the supplied socket tool. Once you hit the sweet spot on the joints, monitor movement is fluid-but-firm. If you need an articulating mount that gets "worked" on a daily basis, this is the one. The only reason that I give it four stars instead of five is that the construction is so heavy you would expect it should hold units larger than 37". I still wouldn't suggest trying to exceed design limits, whatever my personal impression of the product might be.

Installation notes: It is a huge advantage that it can be mounted to a single stud. In both instances I was able to install extra supporting lumber, but if you hit a single stud solidly, you'll be fine. I'd also strongly recommend getting four lag screws to replace the Phillips-head wood screws supplied. You'll find yourself ripping the heads right off the wood screws. The lag screws go in like butter by comparison.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, sturdy mount., February 25, 2009
This review is from: Premier Mounts AM2-B Articulating Wall Mount for 10" to 40" LCD Displays (Black) (Electronics)
I got this arm to hold a 32" Samsung LCD TV in the bedroom and it works great and was fairly easy to install. Getting the mount onto the wall was pretty easy, but driving those massive screws into a stud took a lot of torque! The hard part came after letting my arm rest and attaching the adapter plate to the back of the TV when it was time to attach the TV to the arm. This part definitely takes two patient people, but standing on a chair made it easier so that I could hold the TV and look down and help line up the holes on the mounting bracket for the other person. The shocking part was that 4 tiny 5mm screws are all that is needed to hold my expensive TV to the arm, but whatever works... The arm is easy enough to articulate and is very sturdy. My only gripe with the product is that it did not come with a 200mm X 200mm mounting bracket so I had to order one separately so it would work with my Samsung. It only included a 100mm X 200mm bracket for some reason, so I deduct one star for that omission.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Mount, August 9, 2008

Absolutely everything that it was marketing to be. The cable run has plenty of room for the power cord, a coax cable and maybe one other. Componenent cables would make it too tight.

The arm is very sturdy, and even mounted in a RV the TV doesn't move while driving down the road, yet is easy enough to move manually.

I am quite pleased with the quality and durability of this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Holds my 26 inch HDTV/Monitor perfectly, January 3, 2010

My 26 inch Samsung T260HD TV/Monitor weighs 21 pounds (i.e. with VESA bracket WMB2400T); and this wall mount holds them perfectly. The wall mount moves the TV/Monitor 17 inches in and out from the wall flawlessly. The wall mount is very sturdy. The arm tension, rotation, and tilt settings are completely adjustable. TIP: Before you can adjust the arm tension, you will need to remove the plastic end caps; which should be easy, but I had to use pliers. They need to fix that inconvenience. The built in cable management lets you route your power, HDMI, and coax cables right through the arm; very smart, neat, and tidy. My only problem with the cable management was there was no way to fit a DVI connector through there. They should have made the openings bigger for the DVI connectors. Looks like I may attempt to enlarge the openings myself. I'm not looking forward to that. Saw this EXACT wall mount being used in my local Jack In The Box. So this kinda confirmed this was a good mount. I would definitely buy this again.
Just wish:
1) the plastic caps covering the adjustment nuts were easier to get off
2) the cable management openings were large enough to fit a DVI connector

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Pleased, September 22, 2009

This review is from: Premier Mounts AM2-B Articulating Wall Mount for 10" to 40" LCD Displays (Black) (Electronics)
First: I am a pretty good handy person who has experiencing installing items like this in the house. I have installed tilting and arm type supports on four occasions prior. This was my fifth.
My Installation: Install a 26" LCD above a door frame in a bathroom. Pretty straight forward.

Pro's: I had it installed in about 20 minutes total. It was quite easy, and seemed very stable. The leveling is quite easy as you have only one alignment (vertical) to consider. The swing cjharacteristics on side to side and in or out are quite impressive. I can go nearly 90deg to each side when fully extended out.

Cons: you better have a stud where you want the center of your TV or you will have to build a "support" between studs. (No big issue for those who know what to do). Bigger issue is that the stud bolts are Phillips Head Screws.. So you better pre-drill your holes, and better have a power screw driver. No way can you sink these monsters by hand and no pre-drill with out rounding off the head. These would have been better as hex-heads. The down ward tint is a bit less than I thought, but I have a high mount. If middle of wall mount, this is no big issue. The cable management system is adequate.

I would recommend this and use this mount again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Mount, July 6, 2009

This review is from: Premier Mounts AM2-B Articulating Wall Mount for 10" to 40" LCD Displays (Black) (Electronics)
Just got this mount a few weeks ago. Went up real easy. Put my 32" Samsung TV on a thick plaster wall using three 1/4" toggle bolts. Holds great and arm easily moves. Would not suggest this mounting method with any drywall. Looks good too in my smaller bedroom on the opposite wall and above the bed/near the ceiling.

Only change I would make is for the manufacturer to supply a template that shows the oval cover outline and holes where to drill so I could precisely postion the TV. Made my own but having a pre-made one would have saved a few minutes.

You need the optional plate for a the 32" Samsung.

I mounted this on my kitchen wall to hang a 22" Vizio LCD TV and it was very easy to install. The cables tunnel through the arm of the mount so there are no visable wires. I installed a power and cable outlet box in the wall directly behind the screen and next to the mount so all you see is the screen with nothing to distract you when viewing. The instructions were very easy to follow. The end caps that cover the adjustment screws were a little hard to get off but were ok. I would and have recomended this to a friend and he purchased this for the same TV.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good mount for the price, February 15, 2010

This review is from: Premier Mounts AM2-B Articulating Wall Mount for 10" to 40" LCD Displays (Black) (Electronics)
I purchased this mount for a 32" LCD Television for the bedroom. I thought the instructions were good (as instructions can be, they always confuse me a little). I had the whole thing hung up and wires fished through the wall in about 90 minutes. I like the mount and it's range of motion. The price was very affordable as well

I did see one review on here that the guy was kinda shocked at the tiny tiny 4 screws that actually secured the TV to the mount plate. I Kinda agree. I mean that is the size of the holes on the TV So I can't blame the mount manufacturer because larger screws would not have fit. So it must be an industry standard from the TV side of things. But yeah those are small screws holding up the TV lol. The mount is secured to the wall thought with huge bolts. I could probably swing from it but I do not recommend doing that
