From the stock pictures I wasn't sure how sturdy this would be. When it arrived all those questions were laid to rest. This thing is a beast, very strong and confidence inspiring. It comes with a massive set of bolts and screws and washers and spacers which is great. The 8 lag bolts to mount this to wood studs are 5/16" by 3", but I mounted to a brick fireplace, so I bought my own lag bolts.

Once attached to the wall, we could (and did) hang off it without any fear of it falling. The house is coming down before this TV will fall. My only issue is the joint motion is a bit tight and there's no obvious way to loosen it. So it will move around, it just takes some effort. The tilt I've set for full 10 degrees and locked, but if you wanted to move it around it can be done, just not without getting out your socket wrench.

Bottom line, I've mounted my 52" Sharp LCD on this and I'm 100% confident it will hang there for many years to come.

This is the real McCoy! If the apocalypse struck tomorrow, this mount would still be standing afterward. It's constructed extremely well, and it is very well finished. Specs on the Premier site for this mount are exactly what you get - lots of tilt and swivel: just what you want for a fully articulated mount. When fully extended, it's ROCK SOLID! The tension on all of the swing/tilt joints is adjustable, and the mount can be configured for right or left swing-arm direction. The mount is heavy (like 70 pounds) so you need a well supported wall to accommodate mounting. I called Premier customer service a few times with mounting questions, and they were exceedingly helpful. I looked at other articulating mounts, and nothing was built this well. The AM3 is second to none.

This mount is an excellent designed Plasma/LCD flat panel mount. It is sturdy and flexible in operation. The unit looks good and the workmanship is solid. The unit can swivel 180% left and right as well as up to a 10% tilt up/down. It will also fit flush to the wall within 4" and swing out to 26". I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants a wall mount for a flat panel display.

It's heavy duty as many here have stated but I would expect nothing less to hang my SS 58" PN58B860 monster plasma. The instructions, or lack thereof, suck, so you had better have some common sense basic skills to mount it or hire someone who does. And, it is a 2-man job mounting to the wall and when you hang the TV maybe a 3-man job if you have a 58".

Throw away the template as it is more trouble than it's worth. You just need to be good with a tape measure and stud finder and you can get the job done better and faster than using the template. Also, leave your stand on your TV and remove it after all is done. This way you don't have to lay your TV flat on the screen on the floor as the instructions stupidly state while attaching the mounting hardware. It's never a good idea to lay flat screens on their screen and it is MUCH easier to leave your stock stand on the TV while working on it in the vertical position. After you hang your TV on the wall then your stock stand can simply be removed!

Also, there is very little info on whether to have the hinge side on the right or left. What should dictate this is your wiring. If your home theater system is to the left of your TV then have the hinge side on the left, if to the right have your hinge side on the right, if underneath, it doesn't matter as there is not much difference in the right and left pivoting motion. The reason being is that the mount has a very cool way to rout your cables through the extension arm. Thus, where your cable will come out of the arm is at the hinge side so you want that to be closest to your system.

Look folks, look all day long and you will not find a better mount for your expensive, large, flat screen TV. This is the only one I could find that has the flexibility to be mounted off center if your studs are not in the exact location and that will fit either 16" or 24" on center studs. It has plenty of adjustments so you can make everything look level and on center when it's all said and done. It comes with a mountain of hardware, to fit various models even those models not invented yet...LoL, thus, most of the hardware will not be needed. This thing fits as close to the wall as any I have seen and it just is a beauty to look at and operate.

Bottom line...you have splurged on an expensive TV and Home entertainment system, now DON'T SKIMP On the TV wall mount!!! This is simply the Best! If you don't want the best, buy something else.

I felt like I had to deduct one star for lack of clear instructions for the layman. However, in most cases the layman should have someone with knowledge helping so this may not matter. I did not need the instructions at all, but I have experience. Good luck with your install and I hop my review helped!

I have owned this product for almost two years. It is as solid today as when I first bought it. It is large, heavy and high quality. I would definitely buy it again, but I doubt this one will need replacement anytime soon.

While it the AM3 is an expensive mount, it hung easily enough with two people. Works perfect after the friction bolts were relaxed a bit so as to allow the movement to be more free. Cabeling is routed through the large holed to and from the TV and its accessories. No complaints, this is probably as good a mount as you can get that allows viewing from many angles. It was good enougth I purchased two.

Works perfect and absolutely do NOT worry about the TV coming down. Large and heavy but very secure.

A buddy helped me install an AM3 nearly 2 years ago & we hung a 58" plasma that weighs 137 lb. on it. This mount was the perfect solution to our room layout issue. It is in a location that requires the mount to be moved in/out every time the TV is watched & has not given us any problem. My small wife has no issue moving that hulk of a TV in/out from the wall either.

This is a very heavy duty wall mount....It definitely takes at least 2 to put it up and mount the tv! Works very well and will buy again when the need arises!

I needed help putting this mount on the wall, installation is simple however, the Mount is extremly heavy. This gives it it's strength and durablity. I originally purchased a different mount the hercules hrm 100, it was pretty cheap feeling and did not fit my studs. So after returning it I purchased this mount it worked with up to 16" - 24" studs. Which was important to me and rare in the articulating mount world. When I received the mount I instantly felt it was a good purchase based on the quality of the mount. It is now on the wall holding my 52" samsung TV. I'm 100% sure it is safe on the wall. and it extends out into the corner for a perfect viewing postion from my entire room. Get this mount! don't wait the Price was Great as well, the mount is $500-$600 most places.
