AutoFolder, August 25, 2008
This review is from: RapidFold P7400 Auto Folder (Electronics)
It's easy to set up and doesn't take much space on a worktable. Directions for using could be more detailed. Settings must be ABSOLUTELY PRECISE, or paper folds are not true. Takes some tweaking (nuisance and time consuming!) before the job is ready to go through. Make certain you run some through as tests before putting your final documents in.

Works fine, happy with purchase, April 21, 2011
This review is from: RapidFold P7400 Auto Folder (Electronics)
I was scared off by all of the extremely negative product reviews and held off purchasing an autofolder for years. However, I finally purchased, and am glad I did (and wish I purchased sooner).
A lot of the reviews I've seen complain about constant paper jams, misfeeds, screwed up folds, etc. I'm not going to say I haven't had those, but of the 250 sheets I've done in the last couple of weeks, only two have been a problem, and both were my own fault because I adjusted the size of the input tray too small.
The only three complaints I have are: 1) You have to play around and test several times to make sure the folds are exactly where you want them -- the lines stamped into the metal aren't completely accurate, 2) the paper 'catcher' works, but it's best supervised so pages don't fall off or get turned the wrong way, and 3) the product 'manual' leaves a lot to be desired and you have to do some guesswork.
In short, if you need an autofolder, go ahead and purchase the P7400, it's not without problems but well worth the time savings.
