I live in North Carolina, and my backyard parking area is covered by huge trees. The trees are great for shade, but awful for the huge amount of pollen, sap, leaves, etc. that they pour down on my Suburu Outback.
Therefore, a car cover is a necessity. This car cover my second one from the Premier company. I am very happy with both covers by Premier. It protects my Suburu well.
If you get one of these, please be very careful about the size you get. You have to be very precise. For example, Suburu changed the size of their Outbacks radically in 2010. The 2010 and 20ll are larger than previous models. Some car cover companies did not change the size recommeded for the Outback properly. I may have gotten one size too big for my Outback, but since the elastic around the bottom cinches so well to the underside of the Outback, it is not a problem. I figure it is better to a little too big, that too small.
Another issue to warn you about is that these covers are like sails. When the wind blows they billow out. It can be very difficult to put on the cover, unless you have 2 people. Premier put a useful feature on the rear of the cover, which is an elastic loop. Loop it around your license plate, and it will help stabilze the cover for easier installation.
Shop around, as the prices vary. I got a very good price on my cover from Amazon.
