Maybe it's because I only use Tsukineko, Encore and Tim Holtz ink pads that I find these really deprived of quality. These ink pads are not good if you're an avid rubber stamper or scrapbook often. You do get what you pay for in regards to the product. A good ink pad costs anywhere from five to ten dollars, so I can understand the fact people would like to expand their ink pad collection on budget. However, that being said, these are one dollar ink pads that are very poor in quality and I will explain why below.

The colors that Ink It Up! describes are actually quite interesting and probably what draws the customer in. I have purchased several of these ink pads to try them out, but I remember the maroon ink pad was bloody red when I tried to use it, the brown was almost black and the green looked nothing like the dark green it was meant to be. The foam pad inside is lightly inked, so you definitely don't get any real "juicy" stamped images as you should with a new ink pad. I tried stamping with the dark brown and I remember barely getting any ink on the image and whatever did manage to stay, pearled up and created a blurry and low quality print.

The packaging is simply there to irritate the customer. The shrink wrap isn't kind to your hands and quite hard to remove. I had to jam the edge of the scissors on the bottom of the ink pad to finally wrestle off the packaging. The plastic case that holds the foam pad is poorly manufactured and hard to put back together. After you remove the lid, you will notice how the plastic wasn't shaved off properly on the side and almost doesn't fit the bottom tray.

All in all, it costs one dollar at AC Moore, so obviously it isn't of real high quality.

Well, someone please tell me how to open this thing. I've never seen such a ridiculous box. A secret word? A sledgehammer? Oh, I guess I'll have to go to Office Depot after all.

There's not much to say, as it is a plastic box with a foam ink pad inside. However, the box itself is not hinged, rather the top just sits inside a very tight groove making it difficult to open, and is definitely not meant for situations where you'll be opening it often (like in a restaurant). I had to shave down the edges on the top portion of the box to ensure it was more easily opened.

I bought this ink pad to record my baby's footprints in his baby book. This ink pad was completely dried out and useless. I tried to wet it with a light spray from a spray bottle but it still didn't work. Would give zero stars if I could. Don't waste your money on this ink pad!

When I received this item it was completely dried up and unusable. I even tried wetting it with a bit of water and still no luck. I would have returned it except the cost of postage would have been almost as much as the item itself. What a waste.

The ink was dry and would not transfer to the rubber ink stamp. I would not recommend this product to future buyers.

Product arrived on time, worked fine but I didn't like it not having a hinge to open and close the pad.

Dissatisfied, did not work very well. The stamp pad seemed to be dried out already, though I suppose thats what you get for buying a cheap ink pad.
