I purchased several of these bags last year in hopes of finding a way to store my Christmas trees (Yes trees, we set up at least five trees a year in our house). This year when retrieving the trees from the basement and setting up around the house, I was thrilled at how well they worked. The bags are strong enough to keep an entire 7.5 tree in one, or our 14 footer split between two bags. The bags kept the trees compressed enough to fit through doors and down halls without making a mess. Each bag fully loaded was still manageable for one person to carry up stairs and around down the halls. I will be purchasing more this year for the remainder of trees we have.

I have a really messy artificial tree. This bag enables me to bag it up in a jiffy and throw it up on a high shelf and forget about the tree for the rest of the year. No more falling apart box and artificial tree trails through the house...It is lightweight but is surprisingly tough -no tree pieces have poked through to date. Amply large and easy to zip up. I think this bag would be useful for all sorts of items as well as trees.

Okay, so let’s be clear on this: THIS IS A 15 DOLLAR TREE BAG. Did you hear that? Let me say it again: IT IS A 15 DOLLAR TREE BAG. Okay, so we got that out of the way. This is not going to pass a .50 calibre ballistics test. It will not act as a parachute, will not make you breakfast in bed, and unfortunately it will not start your car for you on Christmas day. All those things would be really nice, but again let me just remind you: THIS IS A 15 DOLLAR TREE BAG.

So, why do you want to buy this thing? Actually, I don’t know if you do or not. However, I know why you are thinking about it because you are probably a cheapskate-scrooge who hates Christmas as much as I do. Let me guess, you were too cheap… AGAIN…. to buy that real tree (GUILTY!). Now you had to haul that &%$$#@(!!^^%%%$$ foul, flith, foul, foul…. etc artificial tree out of the attic. I know man, I hear you. I have to walk 50 flights of stairs on my knees after getting the tree down as well to complete penance for all the unchristmassy things I utter in anticipation of getting the tree down.... And I'm a protestant who does not believe in penance! It stinks being cheap, but you can’t justify spending 30 bucks for something that will last for a couple weeks right? I totally hear you. Right now, you are thinking, “How do I get that” %$#@%$#**&(^^%$%$% tree back in the attic? Maybe I can torch it… leave it by the curb… nah my wife won’t buy that I am a big enough idiot to mistake it for a real tree…. hum….. it has to go back in the attic…” Am I right? Yeah, then this bag will work for you because you are cheap like me. You can stuff that tree in the bag, drag it up there, throw it in the corner, and fugghetaboutit until next Thanksgiving. Does this thing work? Yup! Will it help you get that tree put away so you can move onto more important and fun winter projects? Yup! Will it get your wife off your back and not make the tree task so horrible? Sort of. I hate Christmas so I will say that it makes it more tolerable.

Pros:
-Makes putting the tree away less of a task
-Makes getting the tree down less of a task
-is sort of a nice green
-Allows you to forget about the tree for the rest of the year…. YIPPEEE!
-Allows for much LESS swearing after Thanksgiving
-Makes Christmas decorating LESS dreadful
-Can ultimately save your marriage
-Cheaper than a divorce lawyer
-Doesn’t cost you half your house after a settlement

Cons
-Does not embrace Star Trek beaming technology (That would rock, Scotty beam this thing up to the attic)
-Will not stop a .50 caliber bullet
-Does not start your car for you on Christmas morning
-Has not made me a latte
-Failed to act as a parachute (boy that was embarrassing)

Just buy the bag because your wife already knows you’re a cheapskate, she still loves you, and heck its only a 15 dollar splurge item that will make your life easier.

Purchased this bag from Amazon, it's big and can handle a large tree, however, upon closing the bag the 1st time the zipper came right off.. made of cheap materials. Now I'm looking for a new bag.

This tree bag is one of the best purchases i ever made on amazon.com. It is very roomy that it will easily hold up to a 9 foot tree. Very sturdy and the handles make it so easy to carry. Don't hesitate to order one; you won't be disappointed.

The material is tough and very light-weight. The bag is HUGE .. you you put your tree (and possibly hide a couple dead bodies while you are at it.)

The Christmas Tree bag was made well but extremely large. Due to its size, I was able to pack two trees away in it. It held up well to the extra weight. I would definitely recommend to others.

UPDATE

When storing, do make sure that the bag is not caught on anything, ours ended up with a tear but the seems held so I will still leave this a a 4 star due to our storage space being minimal.

We have a new 7 foot tree and needed something to put it in after the holidays. I underestimated how giant this bag is. I could have put 2 or 3 of my trees in it, and it is so wide that each of my tree sections just fall to the bottom when I tried to lean it up in the corner. We used bungees to try to make the fit more secure. The material reminds me of a tarp, sturdy enough I suppose but doesn't provide much structure or support.

If you have a huge tree this bag may provide a snug enough fit to work well for you. Alternately if you are planning on storing it laying down maybe it won't be an issue, but we don't have the space for that in our home. I will probably be on the lookout for a better bag next year, but this was ok for the price.

We have a 7.5' tree and have used it for 10 years. We added lights to it, and every year, we fold the branches up and shove it in two boxes. The boxes have worn out, so I bought two of these bags. The top two sections fit in one bag with plenty of room to spare. That bag made it into the attic just fine. The bottom section barely fit into the second bag. While my husband was hauling it up the ladder, through the narrow opening into the attic, the entire side ripped off the bag at the seam.
If you take your tree apart every year, and store it properly, and handle the bag with extreme care and caution, this product might work for you. If you live in the real world, get yourself a tarp and some bungee cords; you'll be happier.
