I bought this product because I was looking for something else to give my preschooler in his lunch to drink besides juice or milk. This seems to fit the bill-- it's quite refreshing on a hot day without adding too much sugar to his diet, and no processed sugar at all! He likes it more than the water or milk, and it gives him some electrolytes and potassium for energy replenishment. I think the plain is best, followed closely by the mango, but I'd steer clear of the passion fruit flavor-- personal preference but it tastes rather bitter to me. Get a 12 pack of the others, though, you'll go through them quickly. Amazon has the best price I can find so far, especially with free shipping.

Coconut water is simply the liquid taken from the center of young coconuts. Their is no "chemical wizardry" all you need is a knife and a straw.

As coconuts mature this water is absorbed into the flesh. When this coconut flesh is ground and strained, coconut milk is produced, the liquid of pina coladas.

These drinks are quite good if you enjoy coconut water!

I found this product in the store and the packaging caught my attention. I love everything it has to offer. I tried one sip and I fell in love. It quenches your thirst much better than water and has a subtle, appealing taste. I can't believe anyone could complain about the taste.

I live with chronic pain and there are days that I can't get out of bed and I drink and eat nothing all day. I now have this product to enjoy along with the benefits it offers. I am addicted and plan to always have this product on hand.

Coconut water is an ideal natural rehydration solution -- much less sodium than many commercial sports-drinks, and plenty of potassium to keep the electrolyte levels humming.

Zico has done an excellent job of packaging pure coconut water in convenient, ready to use packs. 11oz is perhaps a bit more than one would expect to get from a single coconut (so seems like a very generous size to those of us who are used to getting coconut water from the source!). The flavors are quite subtle, so much so that they seem unneccessary -- my favorite, by far, is the plain.

If you have ever had trouble with leg cramps, be sure to drink Zico. It will relieve your cramps almost instantly probably because it is so high in potassium. I have recommended it to others and it always works. Pat Rampolla.

I'm a sucker for the suggestions that Amazon likes sticking on the side of the page, and one of them just happened to be this Zico stuff. I read the available reviews and was prepared for it to be a little unsweet, but I was rather surprised when I finally got to taste it for myself.

I've never had coconut water, so I'm going to have to admit my lack of knowledge in this area. It may taste like real coconut water, but if so, Gilligan has a lot to answer for.

By itself, the Zico water is pretty bland - when you drink it, you sort of feel like there's a taste that's somehow missing. The best way I can think of describing the taste is to say that it's like drinking fruit juice after all the ice in the glass has melted. You get a hint of flavor, but not much else. This may be good as a mixer, but I strongly suggest hunting down a health food store to try one this stuff out before plunging in and buying a whole pack.

I've had fresh coconuts from every continent they grow on, and as it doesn't taste as good as a fresh one, it is hands down the best packaged coco water I or my wife have ever had (we have tried at least a dozen different packaged ones). They go down too quick for the price; maybe 3-4 good swallows when your thirsty.

To the reviewer who commented that the tetrapak contains aluminum:

The inside panel of aluminum is sealed between two polyethelene sheets, so I doubt there is any risk of contamination/exposure to the aluminum.

Apart from that, these are great (and cheaper than buying them directly from the company).

Don't assume it's going to be some super sugery sweet taste. Drink one after working out and you'll fall in love with them. You'll never drink another gatorade.

I personally love coconut water. If you have never tried it you definately want to taste it first. I have let people taste it and nobody but me seems to like it. It is great after a workout. A real pick me up.
Expensive but worth the health benefits.

I have tried most varieties of Coconut water and this one is by far the best. My wife is the pickiest person I know and even she loved them. I know they are slightly expensive. But when you wife is Pregnant and wants Coconut water you had better get her the best.
