Initially, the color ink cartridge worked okay but not great. The colors were streaky and slightly faded. After using it a few times the color faded even more, i.e., red looked orange. I took a shot at trying to save some money but it was not worth it. My husband had to go to Staples and get an actual Dell color ink cartridge. There is no comparison with the color. Stick with the Dell. The black ink cartridge worked well but black is black.
