I was a little skeptical when making this purchase because it did not say what the maH's were and that it wasn't an actual Nikon product. However the price was right and I needed them quick for my then upcoming trip to Italy. These batteries are great. They last longer than the original Nikon battery that came with my camera. The only downside is that they do not pop right out of the battery compartment when open the lock like the original battery does. However, that really is not a problem since it does pop out enough for you to be able to grab it and pull it out. I've had the batteries for about 4 weeks now and they are terrific. If I needed more daily power I would certainly buy some more.

So, I bought this two pack, which was about 1/4 the cost of buying the Nikon one that Best Buy had on-hand when I bought the camera. I find them to be a perfect backup. Admittedly the battery life is considerably shorter. I took all 3 batteries (fully charged) to Disney for a week. The Nikon one it came with lasted for the first 2 full days, these batteries each lasted about a day's worth of photo taking. They also (as noted in other reviews) are minutely thicker than the Nikon one which means they don't slide out of the battery compartment easily. Since I never leave home without my Leatherman, I just grab my pliers and pull it out with no trouble, but eventually, I'll grab my sander and hit it for a second or two and it should be just enough to make it fit better without compromising the integrity of the battery.
Overall...I'd say they are a great buy for backup batteries. Maybe not the best for primary use if you're trying to replace your battery completely due to loss, damage, etc...

Got the 2 pack of batteries when a dealer wanted $45 for one battery -- what a gyp-off I got 2 for under ten dollars- Really good to have when you do a lot of flash shooting

This is a very good value for a spare or replacement battery. It fits perfectly, like the original. Does not "stick" in battery slot, as mentioned in another review. Seems to perform like the original.

Having lost my spare battery, I opted for two cheaper batteries to replace the one. You get what you pay for though. The original batteries would take over 200 pics on a full charge. These won't even take 100 before I need to change them out. At least I got 2 and it's not too big a deal for me. I'll pay extra next time though...

As an aside, however, why is "Picture quality" an attribute to rate? The batteries have nothing to do with that!

I bought 2 packs of these EN-EL5 Battery as replacement for the Nikon Coolpix P100 Camera's original batteries. So far, these batteries are even better than the original. The original EN-EL5 from Nikon has a Power rating of 4.1Wh whereas the ones I bought had a Power rating of 5.5Wh. Also, the current rating in these batteries are 1550 mAh compared to 1100 mAh on the original Nikon batteries. What these value means that it gives out more power to the camera and it holds the charge for a longer period of time. The original batteries held charge between 12 to 24 hours without charging. These batteries can do almost 3 to 4 times that amount of time without charging. I give these batteries a rating of AA++

There's no need to pay for the brand name - this battery does the same job for a better price.

what you get from Eforcity are 3.6's and if you ask your Nikon Dealer they will tell you
NOT TO USE UNDER ANY CONDITION A 3.6 Battery!!!!

and better yet when I purchased these the pix on this site also showed it was a 1400Mah battery too!.....now have an unrated picture up.

These batteries are really priced right and arrived very quickly. They fit properly and seem to perform well so there is no downside up to this point. I wish I had bought another one for my other camera now. Time will tell how well they hold up but if you get a couple of years out of them you are way ahead on the deal.
