I recently purchased two Nexus 7 tablets; one for myself the other for my wife. I came across these screen protectors due to the high review rating. The fact that there were exactly 2 protectors in the package was obviously an added plus for me.
I applied both screen protectors with no issue. To look at either N7, the only way you can tell there is a protector is by the cut-out at the top for the camera and proximity sensor. The protector is cut perfectly to fit the N7. If you receive one that is not, send it back.
As far as application, the best advice is to take your time. This is for any screen protector on any handheld device. You can slap the protector on in 10 seconds or you can take 1-2 minutes to get a clean look.
First, slightly dampen a corner of a microfiber cleaning cloth and clean the screen of finger prints and other debris. Use the dry portion of the cloth to ensure the screen surface is dry.
Second, take the square cloth provided with these screen protectors to clear any lint/dust left behind by the microfiber cloth. The tablet should be on a table under some light (bright if possible) so you can view at different angles to make sure the screen surface is as smooth and clean as you can make it.
Third and lastly, start at the end with the cut-out and align it with the camera and proximity sensor; make sure the corners of the screen line up as well. Follow the directions and peel back enough of the cover so you can stick the protector to the top of the screen. Do this while being careful not to touch the sticky side of the protector. As you continue peeling the cover back, use the side of your hand to "iron-on" the protector and lessen the bubbles formed. When the protector is fully applied use the card that came with the kit to gently push the bubbles toward the sides of the screen. For smaller bubbles that the card isn't quite catching, use that microfiber cloth from the first step to gently buff and disperse the bubble. With any luck, none of the bubbles are caused by lint or debris so they can all be removed.
