This little accessory protects your Nuvi screen. It works and looks nice. A couple of caveats. Be advised that the part that goes on the screen is NOT the part with the little sticky handle on it. One reviewer was unhappy that this handle is impossible to get off cleanly. True but irrelevant -- that is the part that is the cover. The part that you put on your screen is the other part to which the cover is attached. The directions could have been clearer about this point. It is also not instantly apparent which side goes against the screen although obviously it is the slightly sticky side.

Once you get the above figured out, this little transparent screen protector is a nice addition to the Nuvi, and I would recommend it to everyone. I got just about all of the little bubbles out, excepting two little ones, and you cannot see them when the screen is on anyway. You can barely see them when the screen is off. It is nice to know that there is no danger of scratching your Nuvi's screen. I love my Nuvi and am certainly willing to spend a few bucks to protect it.

I recommend this accessory.

Product works as expected, does not leave a residue on your screen when removed. The only negative was a minor. The protective sheet is sized so closely to the screen area that I found it a bit difficult to apply it without getting air bubbles. These sheets wipe off easily, and I would recommend them, but I also suggest trimming apx. 1/16" to 1/8" from one short side and one long side of the sheet before removing the backing card. Trimmed in this manner, the sheet still protects your entire touchscreen, and this makes initial application easier.

Product installed just fine on my Garmin 265WT on the first attempt because I followed the directions. Perfect size, no bubbles, nice thickness to provide protection, but does not interfere with the touchscreen sensitivity.

These protectors are of excellent quality and it is good that they are sold in this three pack. I used these for my Garmin Nuvi 660 and they fit perfect. The best way to get these is to buy them when you buy the GPS so that you can take off the Garmin protector and then put these on in place. I did not do this so even though I cleaned it, I had to waste one before I got a decent fit. At least you have three shots at getting it right if you are trying to put a protector on your GPS that you have been using.

Just got this installed and it does look nice. I think there is a little more glare as one reviewer has also noted. Will check it out tonight in the vehicle. I got these from SF Planet and on the envelope there was a web address given. Went to the web page and there were very detailed instructions as well as a picture on how to install. Glad I read it because I overlooked the numbers on the blue and red tags (#1 and #2). My eyesight isn't what it used to be! Peel off #1 blue tag - apply to device - smooth out with credit card - peel off #2 red tag - Done! It was real easy. Time will tell as to how long they will last, but I sure can't complain about the price. Took about 4 days from time of order to receive. No complaints with SF Planet. I bought a TomTom GO 720, and I got these to protect the screen - guess what? It WORKS!

I put one on immediately after taking the unit out of the box. I did NOT have to trim anything off - it fit perfectly. Now I have 2 extras just in case!

I purchased these from BargainCell. They arrived well ahead of time, for a very reasonable price, and the product works just as described.

I highly recommend this product - the matte finish keeps glare from being distracting, and it is easy to wipe off the fingerprints.

These are nice inexpensive screen protectors that fit the nuvi 4.3" screens pretty nicely. It is completely transparent, so it does not hinder the display, and it does not hinder the touch-screen's sensitivity at all. Best of all, at a price of $8 for 3 screens, this deal is hard to beat.

There are a few minor cons/caveats that kept me from giving this a 5-star rating. They are:

- The screen has a glossy surface instead of a matte one, so it is a little more prone to glare. So far, this hasn't had a very noticeable impact while driving, but I've only used it in overcast conditions so far.

- Installation can be tedious, especially if you're a bit obsessive-compulsive about not having even a single speck of dust trapped beneath. The bottom surface (the one that clings to the GPS screen) starts attracting dust the moment it is exposed, so it may take a few attempts (and some magic tape) to get it on without any dust or bubbles.

- The protector isn't exactly the same size as the GPS screen (at least for my nuvi 265W). When installing, you'll want to center the protector with about a 0.75mm margin on the sides and a 0.25mm margin on top and bottom..

Some installation tips that helped me out...

- Have an air duster, some Scotch tape, and a micro-fiber cloth handy (the cloth that comes with this tends to leave a dust trail)

- Clean the screen as best you can (or even better, don't take the original protective film off until you are ready to put this on).

- Pre-tear a couple of short strips of tape prior to starting. These are invaluable for fishing out specks of dust that get stuck under the screen.

- Remove the entire back cover from the screen protector before installing. The instructions say to peel back gradually while applying, but I found that just made it more difficult to align. (Leave the front cover attached.)

- While applying, work your way across the screen slowly. If you encounter a bubble, peel back a little and re-apply (the included plastic guide card helps). If you see any dust, peel back a little, and use one of your pieces of tape to fish it out.

I used this screen protector for my Garmim 255w. It went on easily, because I followed the detailed direction. Its a good investment to prevent damage to your screen when wiping off finger prints. This protector also reduces finger prints significantly. I am impressed that it dosn't cause more glare.

I recently bought this item to install on my Garmin 780. The installation was simple, and if needed, SF Planet has detailed instructions on their website. The screen protector was installed with no air bubbles and works fine. The screen protector is just a tiny bit smaller than my actual screen, but I dont see any problems arising from that. Overall this is a nice way to protect your expensive GPS touch screen.

Previously had tried the universal fit screen protector from another source and it was a bother to cut and fit and apply....

This was perfect and installed in 30 seconds without reading the instructions... and allows the gps touch screen to function perfectly !

(Those of you that had issues - are you sure you used the screen protector or one of the TWO protectors that protected the screen protector ???)

Could see where that could happen - the real screen protector is sandwiched between two THIN tabbed films.... just an fyi..... :)
