Never heard of these Sky Lanterns till my friend was telling me about them, I purchased them to light for my buddies i lost in the war on new years......me and my family and friends wrote messages on them and sent them up.....couldn't be easier comes assembled has a dvd also that is informative....great for any celebration people love them will buy again and again!!

Works as advertised. Watch out though, the warnings about using only in good weather are completely accurate. Don't try to launch them if it's windy. Big and pretty.

I've been buying this type of product for some time. These flying lanterns are fun and safe. Normally they fly quite well in the winter because of the cold air enabling these hot air balloons to fly quickly and get quite a bit of altitude. The others I've purchased from other sellers and other sites are airborne in about one minute and fly hundreds of feet high in the cold air. With a bit of a breeze I've had them fly over a mile. Sadly that's not the case with these. The fuel burns so poorly and lasts such a short time that by the time it gets hot enough to fly the fuel is mostly gone. I bought a 12 pack of these and flew one as soon as they arrived. It's 30 deg F outside and little wind. According to the listing it should have burned for 10 minutes and flown a mile high. The fuel was gone in less than 5 minutes and the balloon barely got 100 feet high. To date it's the ONLY flying lantern I've flown that was so close to me when the fuel was gone that I was able to watch it descend to the ground. Don't waste your money. The other 11 are on the way back to the seller.

We saw these when we were out camping once....we knew we had to get some to launch ourselves. We took them down to the beach in MX and launched some near our RV park - it brought everyone out and looking. If you have a light, slightly gusty breeze, it makes them rather difficult to light - we found that if you light them and then immed. bring it down to the ground it helps a ton.

we've ordered these several times and been thrilled every time except this one. instead of a wax soaked brick of cardboard.. the fuel was just wax.. wax that took forever to light and dripped flaming drops down onto the feet of the people lighting them. The children in the group had to be dragged away to keep from having burning drops on their heads. the drops of flaming wax stayed lit all the way to the ground even after the lantern took off. several of the lanterns themselves burned as it took longer for them to inflate and were more awkward to deal with.

these are very easy to light and fly great. before we got them we tried to make our own from some internet instructions and something just wasn't right and almost burned down the campground. this product went straight up away from the other campers and we could still see it burning in the sky for a long time. the buckets of water for the ones we made was a good laugh afterward these are way more safe. i would recommended these. each one is individaully rapped so they stay dry.

My daughter bought me some of these and I'm back for more. This is a fantastic product. It took me a few minutes to figure it out, but once I got the hang of it I loved them. It took a little longer to get the things up than they said it would, but it's a LOT of fun.
