5.0 out of 5 stars Can't live without it
I cannot function without this product! I have an almost-2-yr old and a baby on the way. I started wearing this product at 5mo and it has saved my life. I went from not being able to even go for a walk, back to cleaning the house, cooking meals, working out and chasing my toddler. Though the look must not be flattering from behind when you can see it through my pants,...

I bought this because my OB said my vulvar varicosities were causing my pelvic floor pain. I had a feeling it was something else, but was desperate to relieve my pain so I got the belt. It did nothing to relieve my pain. Turns out I have Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction, along with Vulvar Varicosities. Lucky me. If you can't roll over without severe pain, google SPD. I'm posting this because I wish someone else had before I bought this.
I'm rating this product based on fit. My weight and dress size were within the range suggested for a small, but I didn't feel like it fit right. I wished I got a medium. The bands around the hips folded over and were very uncomfortable. The bands over the bum kept riding up and giving me a super-wedgie. I also wish there had been some kind of directions on how to make it fit right. Like "You know you're wearing it right if..." It basically said, "put it on like panties and adjust the straps." Adjust them to what? Maybe that would have been apparent if my pain disappeared immediately.

I went from not being able to even go for a walk, back to cleaning the house, cooking meals, working out and chasing my toddler. Though the look must not be flattering from behind when you can see it through my pants, I really don't care because I have my life back. It doesn't always show through. It depends on the type of pants you are wearing. I suppose if I had to go into an office in nice slacks that it would show but I am typically in jeans. The only caveat is that you must be wearing the right underwear (make sure the product does not chaffe you by sitting on your skin) and it needs to be washed often! I suggest buying 2 so that you always have a clean one ready to go. It is a hand wash item but it dries very fast.

5.0 out of 5 stars I could not work or care for my family without this product, December 16, 2009
This product was recommended by my doctor back in 1997, during my first pregnancy. I still have the one I bought in 1997, the one I bought in 2000 and the combination product (Prenatal Cradle V2) I bought in 2007. I am now in the middle of pregnancy number 7. I work full time and am on my feet for most of the day. When I'm not working, I'm cooking, cleaning, helping someone with homework, or changing a diaper. I put this product on before I get out of bed and take it off after I get in bed. I can not stand up comfortably for more than 10 minutes without it, but can go 18 hours a day with it. It is amazing and incredibly durable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prolapse supporter, June 20, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have uterine and bladder prolapse. This supporter gives me the daily support I need. Love the size, convenience, and comfort of this product. It even looks cute on. Good price and shipped sooner than expected.

4.0 out of 5 stars V2 Supporter, August 31, 2005
My doctor recommended this product because of my vulvar varicosities and although it seemed weird at first, it has helped ease the pain of the veins. I do find it hard to wear all the time, but if I did, I think it would relieve my pain. I tend to put it on after the pain is already there and that doesn't help as much.

5.0 out of 5 stars I don't know how it works so well, but it does!, July 2, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This product works as promised. I'm pregnant, I have labial/pereneal swelling, AND a bartholin cyst down there. This thing worked wonders for me today, and I think it will continue to do so. It might have even saved my sex life with my husband for the remaing three months of my pregnancy. My only complaint is I can't wear it while I'm using the toilet, since that's one of the activities that is most painful for me.

SIZING: I think the sizing chart is fairly accurate. The straps are fully adjustable, and the waistband sits at the pubic bone, not the fleshy part of the tummy. I was a size four/six before pregnancy, and now am more like an eight. I ordered a small and a medium, and the small works best for me. It has to be tight or it won't keep blood and fluid from pooing down there. If you are in the upper ranges of the sizing, order both sizes, try the smaller size first, and return the one that doesn't fit.

VELCRO CHAFFING: If you wear it too large, the "Velcro" will overcross. It will rub between the thighs, and pull on sebsitive hairs. If you adjust the elestics correctly, so that they overlap each other, and you wear the correct size, you shouldn't feel the "Velcro."

FOUR CHEEKS: My husband says he can barely tell I'm wearing it. Wear thicker pants and the "four cheeks" effect won't be as noticeable.

The one unpleasant thing Ive noticed is it applies pressure to the inner thighs, because of the thick band of material that applies pressure to the labia. It is a little uncomfortable, but if you're in enough pain from the swelling, it's WAY better than that swollen, overstuffed, my-pereneum-is-falling-off feeling.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't go a day without it!, February 5, 2010
This review is from: Prenatal Cradle V2 Supporter (Health and Beauty)
I am pregnant with my third child and have been wearing the V2 supporter since my first pregnancy (lucky me for having vulvar varicosities during pregnancy)! I put on the V2 Supporter first thing in the morning and wear it until I crawl into bed at night. I can't function without it. It's true that it's not the sexiest look and it makes for bad panty lines, but are those vulvar varicosities sexy looking??? I don't think the V2 supporter helps to reduce vulvar varicosities from occurring but it certainly provides comfort for women who deal with this issue. I highly recommend this product for women prone to this condition during pregnancy. Get one right away, don't wait until you can't stand the pain anymore!

5.0 out of 5 stars life saver!, July 18, 2009
By
this thing is the best thing since sliced bread for a pregnant woman with varicosities. I can actually walk around now without the pressure and discomfort in my crotch. I did order a size up though. My pre-preg pant size was an XS according to sizing, so I'm glad I ordered up. As one previous reviewer noted it does give you 4 butt cheeks, but who cares when you can actually walk around. Pockets do help...

I wouldn't recommend wearing a thong with one of these babies though- full backs only. The straps in the back do cut into your backside if you want it tight enough to produce results. Not the cutest thing in the world, kinda like a jock strap for chicks. It does help though and I wish I would have known about this for previous pregnancies.

5.0 out of 5 stars A real life saver!, March 30, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Simply amazing device! It saved me from misery with my third pregnancy. The varisose veins in my vulva were painful in my last two pregnancies as well but this time they started swelling earlier (in my fourth month) and I didn't know how I was going to make it all the way through to the end. I can now handle sitting at work and walking on a treadmill or track. My doctor had said there was nothing I could do to relieve the pain but I was determined to find a solution and this was it! I sometimes have to reposition it during the day as it slips to my c-section scar and irritates it but that is way better than the veins throbbing. Highly recommend it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for prolapsed uterus, May 9, 2008
By
KF "KF" (Pgh, PA, USA) - See all my reviews
I purchased this for my 80 year old mother who has a prolapsed uterus. It has really helped her since she is unable to have surgery to repair this problem. The uterus has not been "falling out" every time she stands up anymore - I would recommend this to women who have a prolapsed uterus and are unable to have surgery.
