About the Author

Lachlan de Crespigny is an obstetrician and gynaecologist who practices in obstetrical gynaecological ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. He trained in medicine at the University of Melbourne, and commenced his training in obstetrics and gynaecology at Leicester in the UK, completing it at Melbourne Royal Women's Hospital. He has contributed over fifty papers to various scientific journals, and has lectured at many national and international conferences on obstetrical and gynaecological ultrasound. Frank Chervenak is the Given Foundation Professor and Chairman of the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York. He trained in medicine at Jefferson Medical College in Pennsylvania, completed his residency in obstetrics and gynaecology at St Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, New York and received his diplomate in maternal-fetal medicine in 1985. He has contributed over 180 articles to medical journals, and has edited over 15 books on fetal and neonatal topics.
