I've been using this to help my daughter get just enough Algebra to test out of pre-Algebra next year. It's been really easy to use, has lots of problems and examples, and just about every exercise has a really good online video tutorial (shh, don't tell the NEA).

I used this same textbook back in 9th grade. It is a very good textbook. Of course back then I hated it but now that I'm 19 and in college, I see how this textbook helped me. I recommend it to anyone looking for any Intro Algebra books. Whether its to use for school or just to refresh your memory, this is the book to get.

The book is very old, a lot of the pages were drawn on including some inappropriate writing on some pages. Mostly all of the pages have water stains and have been wrinkled.

this book is a joke. a testament to how pathetic american mathematics have become. i saw this book for the first time in a 9th grade math class. when i sat down to read it, i found each chapter or section or whatever was at most two sentences long.
most of it is filled with pathetically distracting pictures that only work to show how little people possess in terms of critical thinking. as a math major i feel that it is books like this that discouraged me from math from early on. its just atrocious. if you want your child to hate math forever, then by all means by this crap.
