A Taxing Book,

I purchased this book because it was required for the course in taxation I am currently taking. Had I known that it was written so poorly, I would have purchased another book to aid in my understanding of this one! Fair warning if you have to use this textbook for a class (especially if you need it because the problems within it are assigned homework): buy another book to help you actually understand the subject. This book contributed enormously to the stress experienced by the other students in my class. The editing is atrocious, and the book has nine - that's right, NINE! - authors, which surely did not make it an easier read.

This book was terrible. Unfortunately, it was the text for my taxation class so I had no choice but to read it. It was not at all comprehensive. I feel I would have been just as bored and confused had I simply read the Internal Revenue Code page by page. There were numerous typos (sometimes in numbers and calculations), and the topics were not organized in an order condusive to the learning process. For example, it talk about Sec. 1245 property for 5 pages before even giving a definition of what is Sec. 1245 property. If this is the required text for a class, good luck!

I attend online classes for my Masters degree and this book was a required text. I was tired of reading the e-book on my computer screen so I went to Amazon.com to see if I can find this book. I did find it and I bought a used version. The description said it was lightly used and in good shape. I ordered the book on a Tuesday and I had it within like 2 days. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the book condition and the price. This saved me time, aggravation, and money. I would definitely use Amazon again in situations like this.
