This book is very dense and unorganized. However, tax laws are a patchwork of poorly-worded rules and their respective fixes. So a tax book is never going to flow well. What this book does really well is cover the major sections of the tax code you'll need to become a CPA. Even better, every concept is immediately followed by an example. And each example explains exactly how they arrive at the answer.

For the price, this book has a lot of information, with lots of examples, on the order of 50 per chapter. 3 problems: there is a tendency to use concepts and terms in the examples that haven't been explained yet. This creates confusion. AND the index is terrible - if you're trying to recall where a certain concept is explained, the index is seldom of any use AND the information is presented in the order it is needed - as one reviewer said it's poorly organized.

Book kind of expensive, but relative to its size. Book was in great condition. Wording in the book can be a little confusing at times, but a pretty good resource for taxes.

You guys are a real life-saver. Ordered the book on Tuesday, got it Friday at noon. Thank You for being so quick. Now I have plenty of time to get first assignment done on time!!! Book was perfect, just as described.
