5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have, Excellent
This book is so useful and user friendly. I didn't even get into the CD-ROM yet.. It is very thorough, informative and even funny at times. It is also intriguing makes you want to learn more. You will never regret buying this book!

3.0 out of 5 stars CD-ROM doesn't work
I'm running Windows XP and I can't get the CD-ROM to work. A bunch of error messages pop up. I can't find any online support, either. Luckily, this copy is from my library, but if I had to buy a computing dictionary, I would choose either Webster's New World Computing Dictionary or A Dictionary of Computing from Oxford as both were were written more recently.

5.0 out of 5 stars I passed my exams, thanks to this book!, July 28, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Prentice Hall's Illustrated Dictionary of Computing (3rd Edition) (Paperback)
The author must have a sense of humor. I found it very strange how a book that can be so serious is at the same time very funny. I loved reading through it. And it helped me with my exams. I have a feeling that the teacher was using it as a source.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nader--a verbal genius, March 29, 1998

Definitions & explanations are comprehensive and precise. Also, you'd be hard-pressed to make them shorter and sharper. Most recent edition comes with CD-ROM.
