This was not a good product I am very disappointed with it. It tells you how many dvds it can hold. So we filled up the cabinet... doors included. But when the doors are full of dvds they dont close! they just swing open so you have to lock it everytime, which is a pain to get it locked because you have to reach behind this bar and if theres movies there then its kinda hard to do! I would NOT recommend this product!

First off I would like to say that this is not a high end item. You get what you paid for. However it is pretty nice for what it is, but it is particle board after all. My problems were not so much what others are complaining about, but rather the assembly. I guess I have little experience putting furniture together but I people would say that Im a fairly intelligent guy. I had a little difficulty with the black and white instructions which were not too clear for me in detail. So I got my drill out and made a mistake and ruined the top piece. I called Prepac and they are sending me a replacement part free of charge, under warrantee. So they are very accommodating. I do not have a problem with the doors swinging open on their own. and the latch in the back is just fine. Im sure you can get something from the store if you want to jury rig it further. The guy that spoke of the cabinet doors eventually sagging, sounds like some heavy dvd's being placed it that spot. You might want to consider the fact that the doors swing open and need about 4" clearance on each side. All in all Im pretty happy with what I have.

I've actually owned this cabinet for several years now. Like one of the previous reviewers stated, the cabinet will not stay closed unless locked. Even worse, after a while, the door hinges actually will start to bend some so that even the lock won't stay closed...making the only way you can keep the cabinet closed is by putting something in front of the doors. If given a choice, I would have passed on this cabinet for something of a higher quality (actually looking for a replacement now).

This cabinet looks great, and holds a ton of CD's. I've put together a ton of furniture before, and these directions are a little confusing, so it's important to pay attention to the parts when putting them together. Other than that, it's exactly what we needed!

This storage cabinet is great. It's easy to assemble and it looks good. You will need some space on both sides of this so the doors can swing open. It has plenty of storage space for your cd's, games, and dvd's. The shelves are adjustable on the doors and in the main storage area so you can hold what you want, where you want.
