Prepac Ferentino Black Flat Panel LCD/Plasma TV Console

I'm completely satisfied with this purchase. I mounted a new Samsung 46'' HDTV on the wall and bought this stand to hold all the other components, which it does nicely. In the middle (bottom) I have an Onkyo HT-RC260 7.2-Channel Home Theater Receiver and in the middle (top) the Klipsch Synergy C-1 Center Channel Speaker. (Note that the comparable Polk Audio CS10 Center Channel Speaker was too wide). On the left I have a Wii and a DVR and on the right a PS3 and cable box. There's plenty of room for everything, and the doors enable remotes to work through the glass. It was easy to put together, although I did reverse one piece and had to take it apart and reassemble, but that only took about 10 minutes since I then knew what I was doing. (The bottom peace is only black on one side, and easy to flip around by mistake). The pictures sometimes appear gray or dark gray, but the unit is indeed black. The screws provided to connect the 2 door knobs (brushed nickel) were too short, so I had to find longer screws at the hardware store. This was a bit annoying, but simple enough a fix that I'll keep my rating at 5 stars. As such, I'm happy with my purchase.

I am overall pleased with this product. It assembled easily and looks good. I have a 52" TV on top, and various blu-rays and DVD recorders inside. It holds them all and keeps them protected. The doors open/close well with no problems. It's not real hardwood, but it wasn't $500 either.

The stand was extremely easy to put together, and is very sturdy. We liked that the backing wasn't just a flimsy piece of cardboard. Shipping was one day late, due to being sent out after 5 or so. Otherwise very happy with product. My sister is going to buy the same one!

This stand was very simple to put together. Took me about an hour but I wanted to take my time and make sure everything was tight. Also working with Prepac's customer service was easy. One of my L/R shelfs was banged up and they sent me a new one in a week. Of course they sent the middle shelf by accident and all it took was another phone call and they sent me the correct one and said I could keep the middle one. Also sent me 8 extra shelf pins.

Yes it's the cheap wood but it does look sharp and it looks good in my home.

I bought this after looking online and in stores for something basic and inexpensive to hold my components and some DVD's. My plasma is mounted on the wall above it.
I looked for something with glass doors, modern looking, relatively short but wide, wood with a satin or flat finish, in black.
This hit all the needs. It's well built, did have a couple of scratches (fixed easily with a sharpie), easy to assemble, and looks good.
Specifically as far as the scratches - it seems the "You Assemble" furniture these days biggest drawback is in packaging. This is the third piece of furniture that i have bought recently that was made and packed overseas and had an imperfection due to the contents shifting inside the box and either rubbing or scratching another surface next to it.
Be prepared to effect your own repairs when you buy this way.
It wasn't a big deal for me, but just be forewarned.
Overall, very happy with it...... Good quality and good price.

This TV console was perfect for me. I looked at quite a few, and wanted something reasonably priced, that fit all of my componets, put the TV in the proper viewing level, and had a space for my center speaker. This unit met all of my criteria. I didn't install the back panel, but would recommend holding off on putting that on until you have the rest of the console put together and your components installed.

Ordered this piece to house all my components and hold my new 50" Plasma and I couldn't be happier. Was alittle concerned about the color (looked slightly dull or gray in the pictures) but when it arrived, it was it was a beautiful black finish. Read a bunch of reviews and this piece does look more expensive that it is. It's sturdy and is a perfect addition. It does chip alittle easy but a Sharpie can cover up any noticeable damage. Get it.

This stand is great and for a great price. It is very sturdy, look beautiful and was a breeze to put together.

This very stylish piece of furniture was a really great find. Not only does it look very nice, but it was extremely easy to put together. I love it!

This is a great looking tv stand! It's perfect for my setup (tv, record player, stereo system, dvd player, etc.) and the adjustable shelves are a definite plus.

Only downside is that a 2nd person is pretty much necessary for assembly, especially about halfway through putting it together and then moving it. It's pretty heavy and the pieces aren't really labeled in the box, but if you can read the manual and have quite a bit of floor space to lay everything out first, you shouldn't have much trouble.
