My wife bought this to put in our bedroom and use as a vanity/dresser combo. It came in two boxes, very well packed with that expandable foamy stuff, so there were no damaged corners. It was incredibly dusty, but wiped off with no problem. There were a few scratches on some of the boards, but nothing worse that what she'll do to it after about a minute of use. The drawers are on tracks, and while I wish they were smoother to open, they are serviceable.

The instructions for assembly were a bit goofy. They completely forgot to include how to assemble the drawers. It isn't difficult to figure out if you've ever built a pre-fab before, but will slow you down a little. We were able to assemble the whole thing in about 2 hours, taking our time. It is light and yet sturdy enough to not need help stabilizing things while screwing them together, etc.

As a side note, the top is built separately and is held on by 4 dowels, so it is easily removed to make it lighter to move around or to just have a regular old dresser. (Yes, It would have 4 small holes in the top but hey! it's still a nice option!)

Overall we are very happy with the purchase and would recommend it!

I had looked on line and in stores for something like this and had been unsuccessful until I found this, quite by accident. It has wonderful storage drawers below the secretary part. It takes up little space in the den but has lots of desk type storage, with compartments and the dresser type drawers are a wonderful extra

I purchased this desk for my husband's birthday, per his request. He loves it! It fits nicely into the corner of our basement, holds all his things, and closes up nicely so the kids don't get into his stuff. He put it together in about an hour and didn't have any trouble with it. My primary complaint is that the drawers are not very sturdy. He's storing a few things in each, but could certainly not fill them with books or even notebooks, so the desk is not quite as functional as it could be. All in all though, I'm pleased with the purchase, and my husband is as well.

AAA Home Furniture Discounts lacks integrity should be avoided at all costs. I have dealt with hundreds of Sellers in the Amazon Marketplace and AAA Home Furniture Discounts is by far the worst. They misrepresented the product (it's not solid wood and actually contains cheap particleboard) and refused to replace damaged parts, then taunted me and said they would win against any claim I might file. They are completely unprofessional and never even sent an order acknowledgment or shipping confirmation. DO NOT REINFORCE THIS BEHAVIOR!

Instructions were not easy to understand and one piece for a drawer was broken, however they sent a replacement very quickly. Now that it is totally put together it looks good.

When or secretary desk was to be delivered it was during our very long and cold snow storm but my order arrived on the last
promised date!! We assembelled it while we were snowbound and it went together like a charm...even had a few extra screws and bolts.....will definiately buy from this company again.

this secretary will go into our motorhome to provide a desk and more storage. I was very pleased that not only were all the pieces there, but also everything fit together as shown. It does take some time to put together (6 hours +), but well worth the effort! I wish they had made it with an oak finish instead of maple...Oh well! It works and it look good!

After reading other reviews, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to assemble. I have assembled many pieces of furniture, so I was familiar with all of the hardware. It took me about 4 hours to assemble. The instructions were vague in some areas, but I was able to figure it out. This laminate-wood desk is not a quality piece of furniture, but is worth the price and perfect if you need more storage space. We put it in our bedroom and use the drawers for socks, underwear and other "light" clothing as the drawers are not the sturdiest.

shipped on time and in great condition A quality product at a reasonable price. A bargain for the money.The only thing I didn't like were the assembly instructions were not as good as the product. After a little trial and error I was able to complete the assembly and the desk itself is a quality product.

Furniture looks great, drawers are too short. Company is a pain about returns. We were sent desk with one missing part and rather than just sending the one piece of wood, they wanted us to disassemble the entire desk and return the whole thing, weighing over 100lbs, so they can send a whole new desk-which ended up having scratches on the paint. I'd never order from this particular company again. However, it is a nice looking piece of furniture and it's nice that all your paperwork can be out of sight when company is over. Also, Amazon did a great job of helping me with the return situation :)
