4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice
Ordered two of the nightstands. They arrived quickly and were well packed. I found them easy to put together and they look really nice when finished. I was surprised to find them very solidly built at a good price.

1.0 out of 5 stars WOW, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, January 4, 2008
I have never felt frustrated enough to take the time and give a product a negative review until now. I ordered this for my bedroom because I though it looked really good in its minimalist design. But the hardware is SO CHEAP that I stripped almost every screw used to mount the metal glides for the drawers. So the drawers would get stuck when trying to slide them in. I tried using very good pliers to get the screws out, but the heads just kept shredding off because they were so cheap. Another thing, the individual boards and panels were not shipped in protective bags or paper, so a lot of them were scratched or nicked. The remedy, a black marker they included in the box as to say "of course this nightstand will come in scratched". Spend a little more and don't waste $100 bucks like I did.

The nightstand was easy to set up and looked better then expected when finished. The product was shipped earlier then stated. We had some defective parts which were replaced right away after a call to the provider and our call was handled right away A+ to their customer service. I would buy again from this provider !!

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money, August 5, 2008
I believe I ordered seven pieces from this set. At least three of them showed up with missing parts, and several were significantly scratched. On one of the pieces, one of the dowel holes was drilled too deep, so when I tapped the dowel in, carefully following the instructions, it broke right through the finished side of the panel. The veneer on this furniture is the thinnest I've ever seen. It is incredibly easy to scratch the furniture and ding the corners. A little black touch-up marker was sent with each piece along with a note that basically says it is completely normal for brand-new furniture to arrive all dinged up. Perhaps the versions with wood-like veneer are more durable, but I highly doubt it.

I admittedly dropped one panel, but from a height of only maybe an inch or two, and it complete destroyed the corner of the panel. The corner pretty much just disintegrated. I am still waiting on missing and replacement parts after several attempts to get them. Prepac sent me some of the parts that I requested, but not all of them, and they didn't even bother to tell me which parts they did send. The company that I purchased the furniture from, Cymax, has even worse customer service. Non-existent is a good description. I'm honestly thinking about filing a complaint with the state attorney general about their lack of communication.

This was the worst purchase that I've made in a long time. I really wish I had only ordered one piece and examined the (very poor) quality before deciding to order a whole set. On-line, this furniture looks a little more sturdy than most RTA furniture, but it is not. It is not worth half of what I paid for it. I hate to think what the cheaper PrePac furniture is like. My advice is to save up for some real furniture and stay as far away from PrePac and Cymax as possible.

3.0 out of 5 stars you get what you pay for!, January 12, 2009
i bought a prepac sonoma bedroom set back in 2004/2005...two two-drawer night stands, a five drawer chest, and a six drawer dresser...i had some issues as another review mentioned with missing pieces when they arrived...however, i purchased mine through a very popular retailer who sent me new items/replacement parts immediately without question...though the whole process was still frustrating!

the furniture was pretty easy to put together, but took a lot of time...they arent high quality, but you get what you pay for...think particle board...they look good, but do scrape up easily...ive used black nail polish to 'touch up' scratches and its not really noticable...i pulled the top off one of my night stands while trying to move it once (lift from the bottom only!)...i used wood glue when i put it back together and it hasnt come off since...i bought these as a cheap way to furnish my first apartment out of college...i still have the furniture 4 years later and its made it through a move...id say the set is worth if if youre trying to save money and have decent matching furniture...however, i wouldnt buy this if youre looking for high-quality solid wood!

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent Nightstand for even Better Price, April 20, 2008
Furniture companies want so much for nightstands, its almost criminal. Besides affordable, this nightstand is pretty, modern looking and functional. Only issue was a few slight surface scratches, which were easily covered with the marker they provided. Can no longer see any scratch. Now I have a great looking bedroom without going broke. Definitely recommend.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money, January 25, 2009
Even though the furniture is supposedly deeply discounted, no matter what you pay, you're getting ripped off. The particle board splits, everything is sort of wobbly, the drawers are not very secure, and the assembly instructions are a joke. The best part is, we ordered several pieces for my son's room. We had seven days to return anything we couldn't use. It actually took more than seven days to get the second shipment, so now we are stuck with something from the first shipment we can't use. I emailed the company and explained and was told this was a "buyer's remorse" return, which meant I had to pay shipping to and from my home, plus a 20% restocking fee, which made it more than what I paid. So I'm stuck, even though I don't see how their splitting the order is my fault.

DON'T BUY!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars another "serves the purpose", May 6, 2007
this end table functions well - the look is ok when in a small tight place so you don't have to see the sides (which shows the "put together" look)- was a little disappointing, which i failed to mention with the dresser review, in that there are alot of parts and pieces - none of it is assembled at all

When I first put this together, I thought it looked good. Unfortunately it's made of cheap particle board and it scratches ridiculously easily. It might as well be made of cardboard. I bought it a year ago and it already looks chipped up and horrible from regular use. I regret buying it and I wouldn't buy it again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice stand, but hard to assemble, November 10, 2008
If you are buying this stand, you NEED an electric drill. You can't assemble it using just a screwdriver/hammer.
