Don't waste your money,
I believe I ordered seven pieces from this set. At least three of them showed up with missing parts, and several were significantly scratched. On one of the pieces, one of the dowel holes was drilled too deep, so when I tapped the dowel in, carefully following the instructions, it broke right through the finished side of the panel. The veneer on this furniture is the thinnest I've ever seen. It is incredibly easy to scratch the furniture and ding the corners. A little black touch-up marker was sent with each piece along with a note that basically says it is completely normal for brand-new furniture to arrive all dinged up. Perhaps the versions with wood-like veneer are more durable, but I highly doubt it.
I admittedly dropped one panel, but from a height of only maybe an inch or two, and it complete destroyed the corner of the panel. The corner pretty much just disintegrated. I am still waiting on missing and replacement parts after several attempts to get them. Prepac sent me some of the parts that I requested, but not all of them, and they didn't even bother to tell me which parts they did send. The company that I purchased the furniture from, Cymax, has even worse customer service. Non-existent is a good description. I'm honestly thinking about filing a complaint with the state attorney general about their lack of communication. This was the worst purchase that I've made in a long time. I really wish I had only ordered one piece and examined the (very poor) quality before deciding to order a whole set. On-line, this furniture looks a little more sturdy than most RTA furniture, but it is not. It is not worth half of what I paid for it. I hate to think what the cheaper PrePac furniture is like. My advice is to save up for some real furniture and stay as far away from Prepac and Cymax as possible.

i bought a prepac sonoma bedroom set back in 2004/2005...two two-drawer night stands, a five drawer chest, and a six drawer dresser...i had some issues as another review mentioned with missing pieces when they arrived...however, i purchased mine through a very popular retailer who sent me new items/replacement parts immediately without question...though the whole process was still frustrating!
the furniture was pretty easy to put together, but took a lot of time...they arent high quality, but you get what you pay for...think particle board...they look good, but do scrape up easily...ive used black nail polish to 'touch up' scratches and its not really noticable...i pulled the top off one of my night stands while trying to move it once (lift from the bottom only!)...i used wood glue when i put it back together and it hasnt come off since...i bought these as a cheap way to furnish my first apartment out of college...i still have the furniture 4 years later and its made it through a move...id say the set is worth if if youre trying to save money and have decent matching furniture...however, i wouldnt buy this if youre looking for high-quality solid wood!

I ordered this particular dresser, because the look is very modern and contemporary, and it goes well with the two nightstands that I also ordered from Prepac. The shipping was very quick, and all the pieces were there. All of the boards were unscratched, and all the hardware was accounted for, I did not have any issues with the packaging.
Installation was a little time consuming, but what do you expect for a "do it yourself" dresser. It took me about 4 hours to put this together, it might have taken a little shorter if i had some help though, lol. Overall, I think this dresser is well built, and has a very attractive appearance. I am very pleased with my purchase. Would recommend.

Pretty Nice,
This is a nice looking dresser and with six drawers it can hold a decent amount.

I ordered the entire set, as a newly married couple with NO furniture between the two of us.
The furniture looks good, but it's awful. The drawers always fall apart, they don't sit straight in their areas, the items are wobbly, the bed frame has open spaces in many areas, and every little bit of dust or dirt creates a stain. Basically this product is crappy, we are planning on getting rid of all the stuff we bought as soon as we can afford to do so.

Bought for my son to assist him with his new residence. Easily assembled. Looks nice. Drawers are fairly roomy and assembly good. Only complaint is that the drawer bottoms are cardboard and may not be sturdy enough. Already looking for relacement material.
