From Prepac’s Sonoma bedroom collection, the tall queen-sized platform storage bed contains two rows of three drawers on each side of the bed for a total of twelve storage compartments. The 19-inch deep drawers are great for stowing sweaters, slacks, socks, extra blankets, and sheets. With its sleek black finish, the bed frame adapts to modern and more traditional décor alike.
The bed frame is crafted out of laminated composite wood with profiled MDF molding and plywood drawer sides. For even weight distribution and ample support, sturdy plywood slats run vertically under the mattress, reinforced by metal braces. Users open drawers using the discrete finger pull located on the bottom of each drawer’s front. Drawers glide smoothly on metal tracks with built-in stops for safety. While the bed frame requires separate mattress purchase, the platform design removes the necessity of a box spring. A matching storage headboard and other complementary pieces are available for separate purchase. Shipped flat with foam injection packaging, the platform frame comes with all necessary hardware for adult home assembly. Wipe the platform bed clean with a damp cloth, taking care not to over-wet the MDF to prevent it from disintegrating. Do not finish or varnish the bed. For faulty parts, consumers benefit from a one-year, free part replacement program. Prepac covers this item with a 5-year limited warranty. Assembled, the queen platform bed measures 81-3/4 inches long by 63 inches wide by 27 inches high.

Great looking bed! Took a little longer to assemble than estimated, but no major difficulties. You must open ALL of the boxes right away to get the parts you need for the early steps. As you work on it, you'll find that some minor modifications to the directions will make things more efficient. The finished product looks great and provides so much storage.

I bought this bed about seven months ago.I did not have any problem understanding the instructions or putting the thing together. It was relatively easy, actually, considering its size. To its credit, I have never wondered whether the bed was going to drop me. It does not squeak of wiggle at all; it seems very stable. Why the low review? Here is my litany of complaints: When I put the bed together, they had sent the wrong parts. I did not complain to the company, I just made it work. There are twelve drawers. I received 13 left drawer sides, and 11 right sides. In retrospect, I should have complained, but I thought that the hassle was not worth it. I just drilled the holes to make that piece work. (If that drawer was the only problem, it would have gotten a high review. As other reviewers have said, make sure you have the right parts as soon as you open the box, since apparently this is a common problem with this bed. I bought the bed because I needed more storage, and this bed has a lot. But in the seven months I have owned this bed, I have had three drawers break. I do not overstuff my drawers! I was able to fix one of them (it just slipped apart, so a little wood glue did the trick) but the others are broken beyond repair without replacement parts. Even before they started breaking, the drawers do not align properly, so the bed looks a little funny. You might want to blame my craftsmanship. But if you do keep in mind, the frame is stable, straight and was easy to assemble. The pre-drilled holes, which you use to attach the slides for the drawers, are not straight. Also, because the drawers are not aligned, they bump into each other. On one side of the bed, I cannot open the bottom drawer without opening the top as well. So, yes, my problems are all with the drawers- but if you are looking at this bed you are looking for storage! The platform is stable, but the storage is useless! Do not buy this bed! You will regret it! Spend more on something that will actually do the job. The price is low for a bed of this kind, but it is money down the drain. Less than a year in, I am looking to replace mine. Just a note, this bed is really tall. I would not give it a low review for that, because it is not actually a flaw. But note, if you are looking for a bed to help solve a storage problem in a smallish space, this bed will dominate that space. You cannot sit on the edge of the bed, you have to climb in. You might even need a step to get in. I figured it was tall (twelve drawers take up space!) but I was still surprised.

We bought this bed due to lack of space. It looks nice and all the drawers have really helped us out. No boxspring needed. It is really comfortable. Only bad thing is, that it's not hardwood and I can see the finish chipping off in a couple of years. But, for the price....it's great!
