Great looking bed! Took a little longer to assemble than estimated, but no major difficulties. You must open ALL of the boxes right away to get the parts you need for the early steps. As you work on it, you'll find that some minor modifications to the directions will make things more efficient. The finished product looks great and provides so much storage.

I bought this bed about seven months ago.

I did not have any problem understanding the instructions or putting the thing together. It was relatively easy, actually, considering its size. To its credit, I have never wondered whether the bed was going to drop me. It does not squeak of wiggle at all; it seems very stable.

Why the low review? Here is my litany of complaints:

When I put the bed together, they had sent the wrong parts. I did not complain to the company, I just made it work. There are twelve drawers. I received 13 left drawer sides, and 11 right sides. In retrospect, I should have complained, but I thought that the hassle was not worth it. I just drilled the holes to make that piece work. (If that drawer was the only problem, it would have gotten a high review. As other reviewers have said, make sure you have the right parts as soon as you open the box, since apparently this is a common problem with this bed.

I bought the bed because I needed more storage, and this bed has a lot. But in the seven months I have owned this bed, I have had three drawers break. I do not overstuff my drawers! I was able to fix one of them (it just slipped apart, so a little wood glue did the trick) but the others are broken beyond repair without replacement parts.

Even before they started breaking, the drawers do not align properly, so the bed looks a little funny. You might want to blame my craftsmanship. But if you do keep in mind, the frame is stable, straight and was easy to assemble. The pre-drilled holes, which you use to attach the slides for the drawers, are not straight.

Also, because the drawers are not aligned, they bump into each other. On one side of the bed, I cannot open the bottom drawer without opening the top as well.

So, yes, my problems are all with the drawers- but if you are looking at this bed you are looking for storage! The platform is stable, but the storage is useless! Do not buy this bed! You will regret it! Spend more on something that will actually do the job. The price is low for a bed of this kind, but it is money down the drain. Less than a year in, I am looking to replace mine.

Just a note, this bed is really tall. I would not give it a low review for that, because it is not actually a flaw. But note, if you are looking for a bed to help solve a storage problem in a smallish space, this bed will dominate that space. You cannot sit on the edge of the bed, you have to climb in. You might even need a step to get in. I figured it was tall (twelve drawers take up space!) but I was still surprised.

We bought this bed due to lack of space. It looks nice and all the drawers have really helped us out. No boxspring needed. It is really comfortable. Only bad thing is, that it's not hardwood and I can see the finish chipping off in a couple of years. But, for the price....it's great!

I am completely satisfied with the entire process. Not only was Amazon the best price of all the providers, the shipping was free.

If there is one complaint and it really isn't a complaint. It would be that the pieces weren't labeled and that made the assembly process more difficult. But, it was fairly clear cut from every other process.

All in all, I am 100% happ.

It's a humongous pain to put together, I had to have a couple people help me do it since it takes really long and even when it is finished the only problem i have is the drawers can barely hold my shirts (they bend in). garbage.

I thought the drawers were a little smaller and that the frame wasn't so tall. Without a boxspring, perfect height. Unfortunately, before we put the bed together we bought a bran new Temperdic mattress, which you need a bedspring for, so out bed is about 4' off the ground. I'm 5'6 and I need a step stool to get into bed. It's way too high, but I can't do anything about it. The storage space is great though. For my husband and I, we don't need a dresser anymore which is a life saver since our new apartment has a really tiny bedroom. I really love this piece of furniture, I just wish I wouldve gone for the smaller model instead of this one.

****If you intend to have a boxspring, go with the shorter version.

This bed is exactly as described and fits plenty of clothes in the drawers. It is stylish and very sturdy. The only downfall is that it came in 100+ pieces with extensive directions. The directions are clear and the product is great once completed, but the installation was very time consuming.

Tons of drawer space and gives a traditional or higher bed height depending on mattress. Plan on some time and a second person to help assemble it. Some of the boxes are really heavy and awkward to handle.

I must admit, I should have looked before I leaped. I jumped when I saw the price. And I couldn't wait to place the order. But then I read some of the negative reviews. I should have read them first. Then my wife asked, "How are they going to ship that? It's going to be very heavy." Within hours I asked Amazon to cancel. Amazon said I had waited too long to request cancellation, though it took five days before the item was actually "shipped" and more days and days before it arrived. It was in very poor shape. I posted two pictures above here to show what the package looked like on arrival... the boxes are mutilated, stressed, beaten up. You can see drag marks and pokes. The taping is torn apart. In short, it was too heavy for the packaging.

Amazon, however, is GREAT! They contacted UPS for next-day pickup of the damaged goods and set up a prompt full refund.

My advice to you as a potential buyer is to READ THE REVIEWS FIRST. Then think about whether this size and weight package should be sent by way of a shipper whose emphasis is on speed. UPS is a FABULOUS shipper. I have never had any complaints. But this item may stretch UPS' abilities.

Again, AMAZON remains my first choice as supplier of virtually everything, from books to car parts to bedding to soap. And UPS is the best. Amazon provides good tools to evaluate purchases. Use them to get the best service possible. Read the reviews! I didn't and though AMAZON is doing its best to make things right, I should have followed my own advice first.

Although this bed was indeed time-consuming to assemble, it has been worth the trouble. Not as well made as I would have hoped, but you get what you pay for with this one. It is as it seems, beautiful, spacious and a nice addition to a bedroom with limited space, or simple one looking to keep things looking sleek. I am happy with the purchase, though I will say, mind the frame work, especially the drawers, they crack and scratch easily.
