Prepara's Tabletop Mister is a healthy and environmentally friendly alternative to aerosol spray can oils. The mister features a BPA free, sterilizable glass reservoir with a patented filtering system. It provides more user control and is the perfect accessory for effective low-fat cooking, because it dispenses a light misting of oil instead of a heavy coating.

Spray a light mist of oil directly on meats, fish and vegetables for grilling. Or, use the mister when baking to lightly grease cookie sheets or baking pans. You can fill the mister with your choice of oils such as: olive oil, vegetable oil, sesame oil, canola oil, grapeseed oil, balsamic vinegar and more! You can even create your own flavored oils by adding dried herbs or spices like sun-dried tomatoes and garlic. Thanks to a patented filtering system, the spraying mechanism will not clog, even with infused oils which are wonderful for dressing crisp salads or preparing bruschetta.

Because the Prepara oil mister is a non-aerosol sprayer (it operates without additional chemicals, simply pump the clear cap to create air pressure), it is better for your health and the environment. The mister is top rack dishwasher safe and features a 3.4 ounce/100 ml capacity.

Instructions for use:

Remove the clear cap and unscrew the cover.

Add your favorite oils and ingredients, if desired. Ingredient ideas include: dried rosemary, dried chilies, and peppercorns. (For best results, Prepara suggests using only dried ingredients or commercially prepared infused oils.)

Replace cover and tighten until snug.

Use clear cap to pump air into the mister (approximately 7 pumps).

Release surplus pressure in the mister after use for storage. (Pressure can be released by simply unscrewing the cover slightly to release the pressurized air.)

Remove green plunger and add water to base reservoir.

Place herb savor in your fridge.

Enjoy fresh herbs for up to three weeks. With the herb savor, herbs stay fresher, longer.

this is the best mister on the market because it has a glass base. I had the Misto for a little over a year but the oil was starting to wear on the plastic parts and discolor, so i bought a prepara mister. It rocks. You can also sterilize it with boiling water- which you can not do with the Misto. It also looks great on the kitchen counter.

I was a little concerned by reading the other reviews. I found you NEED to release the trapped air after you are done spraying. Also, keeping the bottle vertical helps the length of spray time. I have had no issues with clogging and use almost daily.

I bought this to use instead of spray cans. When one must avoid soy you have to mist your own oil. I have only used this with olive oil. For the most part it works great. For a few days it was cranky. It sprayed a stream instead of a mist. I think I may have not twisted the top on tight enough to get a good seal. I have found I need to use what seems to be more spray than my canned stuff. But it works marvelously. I do untwist the lid after each use.
I would recommend this to others. Keeps you away from soy and allows for fresher oil.
