Calms 'rhoid rage,
By PghYinzer "more of myself after winter" (Pittsburgh, PA United States) - See all my reviews (TOP 1000 REVIEWER)

It's an embarrassing product to admit you know it works but... it works. It really works. I just had my 4th child and the pain in back was out of this world. I had my twins via c/s and honestly the hemorrhoids hurt 10 times as bad - possibly because it was harder to get someone to take me seriously. I tried all the standard things, sitz baths, tucks, OTC steroid creams, sitting on ice. My midwives gave me a prescription 'rhoid foam and it did nothing. They also wrote me a script for more narcotics (yes!) and sent me to a surgeon (after checking me and realizing things were above and beyond the normal range of post-partum hemorrhoids) which of course now has me thinking of those old commercials from the 80s "Good news! The doctor says I don't need surgery on my hemorrhoids!" Well frankly I begged him to just cut the stupid things and give me more pain meds but he said the surgery would hurt worse than the ailment. (My mother, who has had the surgery, says obviously he has never had hemorrhoids.) He would not prescribe more pain meds because they can constipate. [...]. A friend mentioned her husband liked this cream and so I sent my husband to the store to buy some and YES it actually works. It takes the pain away (not totally but a lot, and for longer than the foam) and it does seem to start to shrink things (which the script foam didn't seem to do). It's pretty cheap, it's easy to find, and it WORKS. I'm nowhere near 100% yet but I can sit which is a BIG deal. I hate that I know this stuff works, but glad to have something that helps in this matter!

This is a delicate subject and yet there's no delicate way to talk about it. If you have hemorrhoids, especially the painful kind, use this! The analgesic in this product really helps with the pain! I was wary and thought it would be the same as the original Prep H. but it truly work so much better. I've ordered the "ice" products but haven't received them yet. Thank goodness for the relief this provides.

I like the cream better because it doesn't make you feel greased up. The cream seems to do the trick of shrinking hemoroids better because the medicine is not suppended in the grease, it all gets to the problem. In my opinion.
