This here is a wonderful book that has all the information that you will need to pass most Mechanical aptitude tests, well written and has alot of explanations on how things work,very educational, I highly recommend it.
To the auther you can actually earn a 5 star rating on this book if you would add a section on Mirrors (concave,convex,plane) and how they work.

Way more info than I needed to pass the test I was preparing for.
However I also purchased Mechanical Aptitude and Spatial Relations Test, 6th edition by Joan Levy which has much more info and questions to prepare for a test...in fact 15% of the questions on the actual test I took were in these two books word for word. Get both.

When I initially was told I would have to take a Mechanical Aptitude Test for a new job, I was anxious because I really had no idea what to expect on such a test. I chose to order this book and am very satisfied with my choice. Sure, many of the things within this book are not complex at all, but a lot of it you just don't think about on a regular basis. So when it shows up on a test you're caught completely off guard epically if you're not sure what to expect in the first place. This book shows you most of what you can expect on such tests and actually does a great job preparing you for it. It's an easy read and the problems and practice tests are well explained and differ in complexity to prepare you for all different types of questions. Overall, I think this is a great book to help anybody prepare for such a test.

It got the job done. I spent about an hour a day studying and passed the test with flying colors. Very useful tool.

Just wanted to say that the book arrived at my brothers house yesterday. I bought it used and I was pleased with the condition it was in. No mark, creases, or writing anywhere in the book. This is by far the best Mechanical aptitude book that i have ever seen. It gives you examples and then explains it . If you are like me , interested in getting an entery level Job in a techcnical industry , then this book is for you . It will tell you the ways to take a test and how to save time while taking a test . A+++++++++++++++ all the way.

This book was very useful in helping my son to prepare for the iron workers exam. I would highly recommend.

I found this book to be very using in preparing for the Postal PS-8 & PS-11 exams.
