5.0 out of 5 stars Sequel to He Came To Set The Captives Free, July 26, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Prepare For War (Paperback)
In this sequel, Dr Rebecca Brown shows how the Lord continues to protect her and Elaine after her (Elaine's) final deliverance. She talks about issues that are important to every Christian, such as prayer, hearing God, covenanting with God and having a holy fear of God. Dr Brown also shows, in detail, the various doorways that many people, including Christians, unwittingly open to Satan. She shows conclusively that the "Jesus" worshipped in Roman Catholicism is not the Jesus of the Bible and reveals the origin of several anti-scriptural practices in Catholicism. Dr brown shows the link between New Age and Satanism. Also discussed is the seldom-mentioned topic of the aftercare of Christians after they are delivered from demons. From many of the true case studies mentioned in the book, Dr Brown shows that God deals with each deliverance differently because HE IS GOD and loves His children as individuals. From the case studies, we see that Satan is a liar and is not Almighty like God. Nevertheless, we are not to underestimate him but we are to trust in God's loving care. Read this book and be blessed

5.0 out of 5 stars eye-opening information for His Church..., January 7, 2004
This review is from: Prepare For War (Paperback)
First, let me thank Rebecca (and Elaine) for sharing such information with the world! I'm sure Satan and his servants are completely less than happy you did. What courage it took! This was a scary book as is "He Came to Set the Captives Free". I can safely say the church doesn't have a clue. Satan has definitely done a great job of covering the whole operation up.
If people really begin to get a clue and commit and really use the power and authority Jesus gave us, he is in for quite a bad time and he is fully aware of that. Anyone serious about Jesus and what He is calling His Church to in these perilous days needs to read and re-read this book and all the Scriptural references. One thing Rebecca makes clear is that this in NOT A GAME and YOU HAD BETTER COME PREPARED if you are called to engage the enemy and his kingdom. Thanks, Rebecca for making that abundantly clear throughout these books. Also, over and over again Rebecca and Elaine stress the importance of a CLOSE Relationship with our KING as the key to peace and success. HE is what its all about! These books are factual and not sensational at all. Jesus' Church needs to get MOTIVATED and go and find those lost sheep for our Shepherd, and not just the ones who have consciously given themselves to satan, either.....His will is for all everywhere to come to Him!

4.0 out of 5 stars The controversial things about this book., September 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Prepare For War (Paperback)
I know that the books of Rebbeca Brown are controversial things. Many say it is not biblical. Many say that it is very biblical. I myself agree with a lot of what Rebecca Brown says in this book. Some of them I do not agree. But I encourage the reader of Brown's book to do such as in Acts 17:11. Please do not reject the information presented by Rebbeca Brown, but please do not believe it before you check it in the bible. One thing I like about Rebecca Brown's book is that she always encourages the reader to check everything in the bible. I myself find that this encouragement really help me grow and I really do not have to confuse whether Rebecca Brown's book is just a fiction or a truth because Holy Spirit will teach us and bring to us the conviction for our life. Again I think the bottom point is Holy Spirit is the ultimate teacher (John 14:26 and John 16:12-14).

5.0 out of 5 stars the most thought-provoking book I've read on Christianity!, September 4, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Prepare For War (Paperback)
Unlike other reviews, I won't judge the author. I WILL, HOWEVER, judge the book. This book is the only book I've ever read that has INCREDIBLE! interpretations of the Bible and backs them up perfectly. The doctrine is sound--I cannot cut holes in it no matter how hard I try. Test everything. THIS IS A MUST HAVE for anyone. It REALLY makes you think and question your beliefs and reality. Though I don't agree with everything, I agree with those who urge you to read and consider what this book proposes! (Not for the weak in thought)

5.0 out of 5 stars He came to set the captives Free, October 5, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Prepare For War (Paperback)
I am a pastor. When I was hit hard by the enemy and his workers,
God lead me to this book. I was told about it some years before because there was important information in it that helped this young girl get set free who used to be a witch. Experienced people who do deliverance could not get anywheres with her because of info they didn't know that is in this book. So even experienced people will learn in this book.

I do believe that only people who do deliverance should read this book. It has graphic details that are frightening. I can only say to press through it and know who your enemy is. Facinating book. What an intense understanding and close look at how the enemy works against us from one who used to be on the inside. I think it is one of the best books I have ever read. Yes it is frightening but God is greater! This is not for everyone! Only for those working against the enemy.

I believe that when I read this book I learned that I will do deliverance but I don't want to work with people getting out of satanic ritual and such. It is heavy. Yes the enemy is real! But God is greater!!!! Must read if you want an eyeful of who the enemy is. Only for mature Christians!

Mary Polasik (Houston, Texas USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Prepare For War (Paperback)
Most people are not called to this depth, or level of Deliverance Ministry. Yet The principles illustrated in Rebecca's books are all scripturally sound and acurate. And I am speaking from experience. I highly recommend these books to anyone desiring to learn the basics of Spritual Warfare. If you are coming out of Witchcraft, New Age, or hardcore satanism this is a survival manual for you! The main thing to remember is to Keep your eyes on the Lord and remember He is greater than any force of evil or darkness! And You will overcome!

5.0 out of 5 stars Want Intimacy with Your God ? Step 1...., March 1, 2006
This review is from: Prepare For War (Paperback)
A few in depth chapters are: Baptism of Fire (The Holy Spirit revealing sin in your life), Hearing God, Demons in Christians, Testing the Spirits, New Age Testing, The Spirit in the Spirit World.
She also exposes some objects and activities that have demons attached to them. Although Unbroken Curses is much more thorough if this topic is what you need.
Everything Rebecca teaches results in Christians being capable of drawing nearer to Jesus Christ. If you thirst and thrive for a PERSONAL relationship with The One and Only Creator and Savior, this book will be a priceless help. Also highly recommended toward that goal: Intercessory Prayer by Dutch Sheets, Hearts A Blaze by John Bevere, and Unbroken Curses & Vessels for Honor by Rebecca Brown.

Every bad review is full of hate because Satan wants to discredit Rebecca in any way possible so that people are hindered from being delivered of his demons and having true personal intimacy with God.
We all know that demons are fallen angels who as God's enemy attempt to keep people from accepting Jesus as their Savior, and hinder growth for those who do accept Him. So when someone says they believe this is true, why the opposition? You can't fight your enemy if you don't know you have one. And you can't fight him if you don't know how to use the uncarnal mighty weapons of warfare that our Leader provides us as His Soldiers. This is precisely Rebecca's ministry. How Satan hinders our intimacy with Christ, and what exactly are our uncarnal weapons for demolishing these strongholds the Old and New Testament speak so much about.
Rebecca enlightens MUCH of Satan's tactics in her books, as you can see most of the bad reviews are from non-Christians. If what she says is true, Satan/nonChristians would want to discredit her. The Christians who don't like Rebecca believe demons can not ever afflict Christians. If what Rebecca says is true, that belief also benefits Satan doesn't it? In effect, both sides giving her bad reviews are actually crediting her teachings.
Look at those who discredit Rebecca, do they have or are they even trying to have a relationship with Christ that you want? Look at those who give credit to Rebecca, every one I have met or known has grown tremendously in Christ after reading her books.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cautious, May 9, 2003
This review is from: Prepare For War (Paperback)
. Rebecca is a godly woman who I greatly admire. I did enjoy the glimpses into what God was like from the close relationship she shared with Him. However, as I grew older in the faith I felt unrest over what I read about God, and I did not really know why. I prayed and He began to show me that no one was infallible, and I was led to reexamine what I had originally trusted. I felt a super saint could not be wrong, but upon being led to rethink some of the things she heard from the Lord with comparison of the bible and how he truly is, I realized that she did not always hear from Him and did not always test what she heard. She presented some wrong views about the Lord and yet it is not her fault. For instance, God tells her that He does not have emotions, like many people think He does. He goes on to tell her that He feels nothing for the condemned who will stand before Him in Judgement.(Those who did not accept His Son) I felt this was presenting His Holiness and Judgement, yet also implied He was somewhat cold and uncaring. While emotions may be of the sin nature, I still sought God on this subject, since this was very disturbing to me. I was soon led to passages which describe God, as "full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.; slow to anger and of great mercy " He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds; put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and others. In another place she writes that She was walking the streets all night, upset and ignoring God, whenever He tried to talk to her, and so she knew "Father was angry at her". She then told Him He had failed her. She wrote that she was surprised He did not strike her dead on the spot, for He was certainly able to do so. Then comes to her the sweet voice of Jesus, quoting Hebrews 4:15-16, telling her He had experienced weakness and could understand hers, but Father has never experienced weakness "So He usually gets angry when His people are weak". This presents God as so angry that He is ready to strike one of His own children at any moment, if they go through a time of weakness meaning to the point of giving up. Yet again upon telling the Lord how I felt about this, He showed me that He is "slow to anger, and of greaT mercy", He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might He increaseth strenth; Fear thou not; for I am with thee...I will strenghten thee, yea, I will help thee; yea; I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness, also Jesus says " I and My Father are One" and "I do honour my Father..." Although she definately does have some valuble information in her books, I think one should be cautious as to some views and even doctrines presented by her.

4.0 out of 5 stars this book is really an eye opener. everyone needs to read it, September 28, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Prepare For War (Paperback)
Before I read this book, I was always afraid of Satan. I thought that he would torment me if every I tried to speak out against his evil. This book has shown me that I have the power over Satan. As a child of God, I am protected from his tricks. I pray that others realize this as well. We do have the power. I wish I could meet Rebecca Brown and tell how much I appreciate her and her ministry. Thanks Rebecca
