4.0 out of 5 stars A Very Good Sci-Fi Book, January 8, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Prescience Rendezvous (Paperback)
Prescience Rendezvous is about a CEO named Conrad Bernstein who is cryogenically frozen and is awakened in 2049. He meets up with an Eastern mystic, Yogi Profel Yogananda who helps him learn about the past 50 years starting with the terrorist attacks in America on September 11, 2001. Somehow, Conrad has to return to the past and change the future that he's now in. Can he do it? Only the mystic may be able to help him.

The book is simple to read, and the plot is easy to follow. But don't let that fool you. The story touches on various subjects that are relevant today like AIDS, cloning, and artificial intelligence (AI). It's the AI versions of G.W. Bush and Oprah Winfrey that supply humor in the book. There's action too, and a surprise ending that will make people glad that they read Prescience Rendezvous. If you like stories by Philip K. Dick, you'll like this one by Paul Collins.
