I learned a hell of a lot more from this text than my professor. It was better written than I expected, it's as up to date as you can expect a textbook to be, and the pictures/diagrams are good. And most importantly, IDENTICAL to the hardback, but cheaper.

This book does an excellent job of going into depth about the topics covered in my class. Several figures give more details than in previous editions. One drawback is that this edition does not have the essays that were in the older edition. Those essays were extremely helpful for making connections for class. Also, this edition is extremely expensive however,amazon was much cheaper than my local bookstore.

This book is perfect. My microbiology professor suggested a series of books, including this one. The book hasa lot of good detail and is written so that anyone with basic bio background will understand it. I am glad I paid what I paid, I saved myself 100 bucks.

Nice book, came in good condition, well-written, informative. Substantial feel to it for the most part, although pages rip easily. I'm just typing bullshiit now because Amazon tells me I need 20 or more words to post a review, which I think is stupid.

The contents of this book are exactly like the US hardback version, and it costs almost $100 cheaper! What a great deal...

The Microbiology textbook came in great condition. There is no highlighting, writing or torn out pages and the cover is in great condition too. I am very pleased with the transaction, it saved me $100 buying it here versus at my bookstore.

The book is in great condition. I just wish I would have known it was going to take about 3 weeks to get to me because I really needed it. That was the longest time an order has ever gotten to me. Aside from that the book looks good and everything.

The sender sent the book as expected and I recieved it on time. The book was new as was described and the price was reasonable. Overall, I am very satisified with the product.

The book was required for the course, the content was a little to in-depth for an introductory biology course.
