Book Description

May 1, 2002
Prescription Drugs cost too much. Many lower income Americans are spending more on their medication then their groceries. For many, this is an unnecessary expense, as there are many programs sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry where thet will provide brand name prescription drugs for free.

For people who do not qualify for free prescription drugs, many discount prescription plans are available. There are programs offered by drug companies, private concerns and State and Federal programs.

Knowlege is a major tool to savings.

From the Author

As a health insurance agent I was getting an increasing number of calls from Medicare clients looking for ways to get their prescription drugs covered. Then one day I stumbled on a Prescription Assistance Program. That started my research of the thousands of drugs available for free as well as hundreds of other programs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prescription Benefits-A Consumer's Guide to Free & Discount, June 5, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Prescription Benefits: A Consumer's Guide to Free and Discount Prescription Drugs (Paperback)
This book is a great resource for health care professionals. The data is very current, and I am able to assist clients who need prescription medications but don't have the insurance and financial resources to pay for them. As stated in the book, purchasing brand name prescription drugs at retail is now a choice, not a necessity.
