5.0 out of 5 stars The knowledge imparted by Mr. Reim is priceless!, August 23, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: A Prescription for Better Golf (Paperback)
I am new to the sport of golf and had come across Mr. Reim's book through a friend. I found the text well written in an easy to read style. His explanations of the different shots and what is needed to reach perfection in the game of golf are written in a way to facilitate easy visualization, which in my case makes a world of difference. If I can see it, I can achieve it.

His book covers the basics of the game and includes the "mind" game as well. All points made are short and to the point. I particularly liked the insights provided. Mr. Reim comes across as someone who has been around the sport for a very long time; it shows in the knowledge and technical skills he imparts to the reader.

Mr. Reim also makes himself available for any and all questions you may have regarding golf. He is a perfectionist and stands behind every word he has written. In talking with him about the game of golf, I know he truly wants to impart his knowledge to those who are interested in making their game the best that it can be.

I have no numbers to throw at you to let you see that my game has improved. As I've said, I am new to the sport and all I can tell you is that I got on the golf course and using what I got from Mr. Reim's book helped me hit the the ball where I wanted it to go thus thwarting the undo frustration I'm sure would have come if I had not had the good fortune to run across his book and in the process gaining the useful knowledge he imparted through his writing.

Thanks for making this game easier and fun to play. If my friends only knew the secret...I won't be telling them.

4.0 out of 5 stars This game isn't as difficult as I thought..., July 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: A Prescription for Better Golf (Paperback)
I'm 50 years old and started playing golf at the age of 15. I've got tons and tons of golf instruction books and videos. I even tried to pick apart a few of the pro swings, but ended up more confused. I've had some success and shoot in the high 70's to low 80s. Unfortunately, I am never satisfied with my swing and repeatedly attempt to change things. I end up frustrated and inconsistent.

Well, I got your book. The first thing that blew me away was your simplistic swing analysis. Well I've been practicing the swing as you said in the book and finally went to the range. Unbelievable! I hit straighter and farther than I can ever remember - with every club. For the first time in my life, there were people on the range looking at me! It felt great. I thought I'd flub up, but I just kept sending one after another straight and long. Thanks so much for the simple approach to the golf swing. Will I ever exceed 300+ yards on a consistent basis?
